A lot of people wanted Crean gone in 2014, but the buyout of $10M+ was constantly floated as the reason we couldn't make a move if we wanted to... Now, seemingly Dolson can buy out the football and Basketball coach, and it seems possible that IU might have $8.5M a year for a new coach... Walk me though why Fred Glass unable to buy out any of the football and basketball coaches and land a huge whale, where as Dolson seems extremely capable? The new TV deal brings 80-100 million dollars to each school annually. That alone can get some things done. Also, Scott started with the alumni association where you had to get people to donate money. He's good at getting people to share their money. Or Bruce could be feeling like he wants to come to IU and Auburn is going to throw the kitchen sink at him. Both can be true. Also, people need to remember Trilly isn't one person, he is multiple people who are well connected in CBB. Maybe a writer, maybe an agent who knows. Trilly did say his source for the text he received is a reliable source close to Pearl so that is something imo. There’s also some people that think Pearl is willing to take whatever amount within reason to get the IU job and that it’s not about money. thebigweave, taco corp, southsidehoosier and 9 others 11 1

Riding keeps me sane, you? Knee surgery is why I'm on a bike and not still pounding pavement. Doc said keep running and you'll chip more bone and told me to swim or cycle. I swim like a rock so it was cycling by default. I still wish I could run but I do enjoy the solitude of a bike ride and the changing of the seasons on country roads. Ryno6284 1

Just crazy that we're not out-recruiting these two. Both kids come from IU families and it won't take much to get them to commit but we're not doing anything. As Coach Knight used to say the best time to recruit is right after a big win. Everyone wants to pat you on the back, and talk to you. But not us we celebrate our wins by ourselves
