Trey is very frustrated as you would expect him to be. He isn’t shy with telling people that. Yes, there are multiple guys leaving. (we all knew that) Yes, it is negative and bad but…. It is also jumping the shark to assume this is all pointed at Woody. Just keep that in mind as everyone sinks further into reason 500 he has to go.

We all know how I feel. We want to change, fine. Better get Pearl level guy or this is all pointless and creating extra anxiety, panic, doom, etc from IU “media” to fanbase has made a tough situation that much harder for guys like Trey. So when you want to say he is IU lifer, how could Woody have lost him, don’t always assume you are right. 

I know, it is never the fans fault, didn’t say it was but not blameless either. Been a lot and I mean a lot of attacking players and people’s frustrations with all of it directed specifically at them as individuals. 

You think “anxiety, panic, doom, etc” are going to go down or leave the fanbase if Woodson stays? I think the product on the floor and the lack of confidence going forward creates those feelings more than the “IU media”.

Also wanted to add  that one of their boards started a thread called “Would CBP leave Auburn?”, and their insider guy responded simply “Yes, but only for IU.”

I think any coach, including Pearl, is capable to use any coaching vacancy as leverage

Would love Pearl.  Only concern is his age and he's definitely got the beer and burger body.  Plus he's really high strung like Crean on steroids.  Hope he's healthy.  We need 6+ years at least.

why do I get to decide, huh? Simply making a statement that we have too many websites, podcast and blogs acting not as reporters but opinion givers. Most of them don’t make some big living off of that. They do it as a side thing. Market or not market they are there.

Problem is their voice and opinions shouldn’t carry any weight but do. Most of them don’t no more than the average fan and know less than intelligent fans. That has been a problem well before any of this.

DD for being the mess he is got that one right a long time ago. He is good for one or 2 a year. 

And what would the agenda be? Not have to watch terrible basketball? Pretty much every B1G school has multiple opinion and analysis sites for basketball, football or both. Dealing with the media is part of the gig here, and a smart coach uses that. No one in Ohio State media had a bad thing to say about Holtman, other than the basketball was bad. Woody on the other hand is giving them bad basketball and being dismissive. The reactions or “agenda” are completely warranted IMO.

Those are god ugly pictures, lol.  But a fiery coach like Pearl is exactly what this program needs.  Administration needs to quit dictating getting these very low key coaches, because it doesn’t equate to consistent winning.

Exactly.  Woodson felt like he doesn’t have to answer to anyone and doesn’t have to explain anything

Number one issue I will keep repeating. No donor is going to give $12 mil, help with new salary etc to replace Woody who many of them still like with Dusty or the like. 

Dolsons only shot is to lineup a Pearl, lock it 100%, not 99% in, and then go ask for the money. Even then, he is going to have to convince. 

Given the state of the program, that is just sad.  I know you like Woodson, but there is zero excuse for horrible recruiting this year.  X’s injury and the team’s youth  has nothing to do with it.

It is just whining about controlling the narrative.  That is what it all boils down to.  The University messed up (again) and each subsequent time they do that it becomes harder for them to control the narrative.  It has happened so frequently around here recently that everyone knows what it looks like when a coach's job is basically dead man walking.

All of these sites giving publicity and drumming up fan support are awesome to Indiana when things are going well.  The complaints only come out when the school wants to push a narrative and they aren't falling in line.

If we win tonight there will be a massive push to say that Woodson hasn't lost the team and deserves another chance.  It is clear that a pretty strong contingent in the admin and their big backer(s) don't want to eat another contract and throw Woodson under the bus.  So everybody but him is going to get the blame.  Players, bloggers, fans...you name it.  Everyone is to blame but the guy at the top.

That’s what they got to get past.  They are so dead set on not having another BK that they keep us from hiring the right coach.  I can’t remember the last time one of our coaches got a tech in a game.  We need that fiery a$$ coach, because the players take the personality of the coach and that is what us fans have been starving for.  But the administration prevents that.

Seriously though,......I think that is the biggest bunch of bull I have ever heard. Many don't want that challenge as well as being associated with a former perineal power house if they don't succeed. I do get it though. However, IF the right coach comes along and finally "Awakens the Kraken", they will be associated with NCAA coaching Gold. JMO
