The “compromise” by Dolson to let this go down this way saved us some good cash on the buyout. Lot of litigation today. Make no mistake about it, this was not Woody’s decision to retire.

I said it'd be a short list. No offers will make for a very short list.

The other possibility is that Woodson is being really difficult behind the scenes. I know everybody wants us to move fast, but Dolson probably has to sew up every last thread of support to make sure there isn’t a giant rift among the VIP crowd when Woody is gone. You don’t want one of Quinn or Woody’s buddies to get their feelings hurt because they weren’t consulted and then pull six figures worth of NIL funding.

Yeah, I could actually see that happening... not like they've done enough damage to the program already...

But didn't someone (Chris or Jerry) indicate that the guarantee for $5M in NIL funding was in place in an ongoing manner? Wonder how those two things jibe...

Woody will soon no longer be the coach, and he will never return to Bloomington or watch IU.  Just like after he was done playing here.

He only came back four years ago because his buddy arranged a large pot of money + status vs. his dead end NBA assistant gig.
