The concept of NIL was supposed to be pay for endorsements and use of the student's name, image and likeness. What we have is a bastardization of that concept... and it's a free-for-all payment to lure talent to your school. That desperately needs to be fixed...

But with that said, if a school is paying you 6 figures to play basketball, it's not too much to ask that you actually perform? Same goes for the coach... Woodson is paid an obscene amount of money to do what he has yet to do at Indiana University - recruit, develop and coach young men to play basketball well at Indiana University. He's clueless, and entitled and full of himself. He is adamant that he has done his job while clearly underperforming in the recruiting front, grossly lacking in the ability and willingness to develop talent and skills, and absolutely clueless regarding in-game coaching, player substitution and putting his team in a position to win games.

Drizzle, drazzle, druzzle, drome... time for this one to go home.

He’s is only doing about 10% of the 3 highlighted above, can we get refund?  I calculate he owes about $3.6 million per year for non-services rendered

Thanks, was just curious if you had heard anything. The burners are now piling on Jim Coyle now. Something has them all stirred up and it was kinda simultaneous last night, and I really don't think something like threats would be something that could be kept out of the media.

I will say after talking to some people this morning there was a meeting that took place with Dolson and the team to discuss some fan's behavior. As I always tell my wife every fanbase has some idiots as fans and were no different at IU. That's all I know

Sounds like you lost a battle but won the war.

Kind of like when my RA caught me getting high in my dorm on the last day of the semester. He was like I got you, I said you sure did, but I got you every day for the last 9 months

Golf Simulator, Another Blowout Woody loss and a happy Wife.....i keep telling myself, think of long term

I believe there is a small subsection of the fanbase that is taking it too far. I believe a meeting like that is probably necessary. However, I have some doubt whether the meeting was to address the actual, serious issue in whole or to deflect some blame of failure to the fanbase. I have no inside knowledge here, just vibes as the kids say.

What % of superstar status players college or pro become really high level successful college or pro coaches not in John Wooden days but over the last 40 years.

Almost zero good college basketball players ever become good college basketball coaches.

Dolson to team….”Listen fellas, you want the booing to stop? Start winning! I shouldn’t have to have this conversation again!”

I would crack my **** up if they threatened to kick people out for it or just asked people to be nice and not boo.  I would hope the fans would let them have it.

Oh, please please please try to start removing fans for booing....students will have a field day with that one! The refs will be stopping the game every 5 minutes for disruptions in the stands...terrible idea....

Superstars... probably not a high percentage, but I would venture to guess A LOT of good college basketball coaches were college basketball players. Painter, Bob Knight, Jay Wright, Mark Pope, Billy Donovan, Scheyer, and Coach K... just off the top of my head.

Yep. I could see Woodson's defenders try to use some wingnut's actions try to shut down any dissenters. It won't work, but I could see them take this course of action.

But, this is exactly the kind of thing that people on this board have alluded to - things are going to get worse if they allow Woodson to keep coaching and he keeps showing his basic incompetence.

I want to emphasize that I think it's absolutely wrong that any fans step over the line and make threats. But, the fans are absolutely frustrated and letting him continue to coach is going to increase frustration.

This is on IU...

It's also on those individuals, not the fanbase.
