Looking forward to the day that this thread is renamed to the “Coach Woodson Fired Thread”.

One of the saddest things about this whole situation is that Don Fischer has to put up a brave face and support the team.

He’s 77 and has devoted 2/3rds of his life to IU.Definitely deserves better

So let’s assume Woody is still the coach when Dusty comes rolling into BTown (big assumption). Also assuming IU season is still off the rails (small assumption). So my question is if the boo birds are out and chants of “Fire Woody” or “We want Dusty”. Does this turn off Dusty from considering IU if the offer is made?

Regardless of who the coach is that game, make it a white or red out and be loud. Show Dusty where he could be coaching next year. Booing the team and calling for Woody to be gone (which is the more likely thing to happen, unfortunately) of course will be a bad look. Dusty certainly wont be telling himself "Man - I want to coach here"

I don't know, I think you guys might be being too hard on Woodson. In fact he's actually responsible for bringing my wife and I closer together. I used to get annoyed and tune her out during games when she'd try and talk about dumb stuff. Now I give her my full attention because I'd rather learn what Taylor Swift wore at the Chiefs game than watch IUBB.

You guys are killing me with this thread, I closed my browser about midnight last night and didn't open it till around 10 this morning. All I have to say is, I didn't read this much in school! There were so many posts I would have loved to respond too, but I was soooooo far behind I was afraid to lose my place, LMAO!

I want to give a big SHOUTOUT to Banksyrules for starting this thread little less than a year ago and 1571pages. I wish this next statement for myself wasn’t true… it’s the only thing interesting about IU Hoops :(

I just wondered because I keep reading the first year is low on purpose, but it is $5mil ,then $4mil ,then $2mil, then $1mil, then $500,000.  I wonder if people are looking at his FAU buyout terms?

Over and under.  Does this thread reach 2,000 before or after IU men’s basketball has a new coach?

It would be wise to have IU president very involved in selecting next IU men’s basketball coach.  She was right there with coach Cignetti and AD receiving Walter Camp coaching award.

Not a favor for the program but how much exactly will Woodson have made from all of this when all is said and done? He and his family will be very comfortable due to that so I'd guess it won't really bother him, and in perspective of how much MW got paid, I'd say QB did him a very big favor.

Idk.  Maybe Chris can share his thoughts or info. I have not really looked into it, just was commenting on what he said and I consider his info around here to be solid.
