Only ones that differ from the arrivals are Terre Haute, Cincinnati and a couple of PA flights (Harrisburg & Latrobe)

This Google search is promising....

What is Latrobe PA known for?

Latrobe is a great place to visit and is known for many things and people including the Latrobe Brewery (the original brewer of Rolling Rock beer), Saint Vincent College (where the Pittsburgh Steelers hold their training camp every summer), golfer Arnold Palmer, Mr. Fred Rogers, and the first banana split!T

I'll take the ghost of Mr. Rogers and a banana split over Mike Hart!

If it is Candle he is most likely bringing his staff with him and will call his own plays. Plus a chance he brings his soon to be 6th year QB with him.

Could also see him bringing back Larry Black who played DT under Lynch/Wilson. Was Toledo's DL coach under Candle before taking the same position at Vanderbilt last year.

Okay, leave Frye then, I can live with this

Hopefully that has nothing to do with Matt Canada

If we throw $15M at Tom Allen to go away, but turn around and hire Mike Hart, we'll be an even bigger laughingstock than we are now.

FTR I would probably be ok with him being OC, but man, IU is a tough place to learn how to be head coach.

I'd say the same about Frye. This isn't a learn on the fly job.

If I helped get him out of that Allen contract then he turned around and hired someone that had never even been a coordinator I'd want him to update his resume.

Yeah the OSU fans on the Rivals national board are hoping we take Frye off their hands.

Maybe they're just looking for a scapegoat, but they are blaming recent offensive struggles on him since he's been there.

Isn't the game on Friday?

That would kinda be IU football, wouldn't it.  :)

Anyway, he didn't really say that.  He said it would be "ideal" to trot the new coach out to the fanbase at the basketball game.  I'm not sure why that would even matter.

Or the same about Rod Carey

Definitely a scapegoat. OSU had defensive issues in 21 and 22, finally corrected it only to have pedestrian QB play this year for the first time in ages. Neither of those responsibilities fall on Frye.

Still not a reason to feel confident about hiring him, but he is the last of their concerns.

I heard that Osterman said IU plans on having the new head coach at the IU and Maryland game Saturday. That tells me it’ll be Frye or Chryst if that is true.

The Maryland game is Friday

Mike Hart is the ultimate lose-lose. It's highly, highly likely he won't succeed, cause he would be beholden to who his coordinators are, just like Allen was. And if he succeeds, he'll leave the nanosecond the Michigan job opens up.

I loathe our car-centric culture so much that I sincerely hope someone is actually flying from Columbus, IN to Bloomington, IN.

On the other hand, if it meant Stewart wasn't driving, everyone else would be safer.

The only silver-lining in hiring Mike Hart may be just for that reason; an audition for the Michigan job. Extra motivation to succeed to keep the hope alive that he one day he is considered. Sorry just trying to rationalize why Mike Hart makes any sort of sense at the moment.
