He’s a stud, dunno if we get him and we already have a pretty crowded WR room, but he’d be an instant starter on the outside

Sooooo heres my confusion..

Is he a no star talent (his recruiting profile)? Is he a Sun Belt talent (JMU)? Or.... is he a Big 12/SEC talent (South Carolina+Utah offered) ......

Sorry for your confusion but it is really not that hard to figure out as it’s kind of a nice indicator when other P5 schools/coaches (South Carolina and Utah)  recognize talent vs the “hidden gems” that only a single P5 coach in the country pursues.

Do some of those MAC only, or less, offer guys work out? Of course they do, as there are literally thousands of recruits each year, but the odds are higher, but not a guarantee, that dudes recognized to be P5 talent by multiple P5 coaches have a better chance of working out (or maybe it’s just a coincidence that OSU/UM/PSU dominate the BT with ranked guys every year LOL)

Kind if makes me wonder if there's something we don't know yet. Sarratt entered the portal a couple weeks ago and we're just now offering, seems like they would've offered him before McCulley came back and they knew they needed receivers.

You conveniently leave out the talent in MI, OH, and PA...

It's just wild anyone would think we are going to recruit like them. So.. what kind of talent is he? No star, Group of 5, or SEC? You never answered.

Past that..  schools like Iowa St, Kansas State, Northwestern have continued to have excellent football programs with hardly any "Top 300" kids..... so which do you think our program will need to resemble to be successful? Not all that confusing to understand, I agree.

Sorry sorry--- "how will we ever win with all these Sun Belt guys" (laughing emoji)

I have CCC with 10 or 11 Wide Receivers for next season's roster as of today, that's usually a good number for an 85-man college roster.  Curious to see if there is another domino in the works in the receiver room.

I wonder if any position changes are coming?

Maybe our offer helps him become more attractive to another school.  Our receiver room looks pretty full so maybe getting the offer is all he wanted and Cigs made the late offer to help
