Kind of nutty that Iowa is the only remaining team in the B1G Woodson hasn’t beaten.

That ends tomorrow

Not that Woody doesn't want to win every game, but I seem to remember him being really pissed at the Franimal's hijinks in Iowa City -- that weird episode where he wondered over to our bench and the refs were too intimidated to issue him his rightful second T -- so there even might be a little extra motivation in him tonight.

Tonight's radio show.

Says Johnson will not play Tuesday against Iowa.  Said there is a chance that Xavier Johnson can still play this season. They are waiting for the final approval from the doctors and the IU medical staff. Confirmed he will NOT play tomorrow vs Iowa.

Don Fischer reading off Trayce Jackson-Davis' records and how he likely will not be able to catch Steve Alford & Calbert Cheaney in the scoring unless he comes back for a 5th year of eligibility. Woodson: "Well you want me to ask him to come back?" Fischer: "Absolutely!"

Woodson on Trayce Jackson-Davis' play at Purdue: "The beauty about it is, Trayce didn't try to force anything...he just sacrificed his game." Said Trayce was real active in the huddles about seeing things that Indiana was also seeing on the sidelines.

Mike Woodson says he primarily stuck with his starters against Purdue because “you just can’t have any miscues”.

Mike Woodson on winning at Purdue: "It was very, very special. Just like it is hard to win in Bloomington, it is hard to win at Purdue....I am proud of our guys." On Jalen Hood-Schifino: "That damn freshman we got is pretty damn good"

As Mike Woodson was signing off the show, he gave a special shoutout to Indiana women's head coach Teri Moren and the women's team on winning the Big Ten Championship. "They've had a hell of season. I couldn't be more proud of those ladies."

Doesn't sound good if they're still waiting on final approval. Wouldn't be much time to get him up to game speed.

He almost beat me up at a party his senior year after they beat Athletes in Action. A drunk Chris said to him "You guys looked good tonight, even you played well." He didn't think it was funny at all.

Funny you say that because I remember the year after he graduated he returned to Assembly Hall with Athletes in Action and looked like a completely different player. Scored 20 points against us and nearly won the game... https://iuhoosiers.com/news/1998/11/4/HOOSIERS_BEAT_AIA_IN_OVERTIME_97_95 . I remember a young GnarlyTimGarl asking his dad where this new Robbie Eggers came from because we never saw that performance in an IU uniform.

Although the link infers we lost the prior year (which would have been Robbie's Senior Year). I remember when we lost to AIA, though, whenever it was. They actually had some competitive squads and were probably extremely valuable to play in the preseason exhibitions. The old exhibition days in the 90's of AIA, Marathon Oil, Melbourne All-Stars, etc..

Anyway, beat Iowa. Decisively.

It might have been his junior year. I just remember he had 10 or 12 points which surprised me. Yes those exhibition games were good ones. I just really hope we come out tonight and take care of business. Murray has been in a slump so hopefully, he stays there. Also hope Fran's boy is in foul trouble and every close call goes against him.
