I couldn't tell you coverages, offensive schemes, etc. But I do know, I am sick of watching us not throw the ball and run a dive on what seems like every other play. I thought the ball moved a little better when Sorsby was able to sling it...but by that point I'd had my fair share of beverages and was occupied by my buddies new putting green. In everyones opinions...who is the guy? Jackson or Sorsby? Is Dexter back in the equation when healthy? The fact that neither guy was a clear #1 was concerning. Jackson was the fan favorite but I think he was overhyped. Allen will give Dexter the opportunity but I’m not real excited about him honestly. I think out of the three Sorby is the better long term option. Stuhoo, monskisprodigy and GoIU8 3 Quote

WhiteyMcSpeed Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 The Hoosiers are 2-10 in the last 12 games, at this point everyone can see Tom Allen is not the answer. The reasons for the 2 year success(2019-2020) period were on display yesterday Deboer and Penix destroying Michigan State on the road and Kane Wommack and his South Alabama Jaguars beating Oklahoma State 33-7 on the road. When will the administration be ok with moving on and how big of buyout are they willing to pay? Will they invest in the next coaching hire with a real search? If not, we might as well save the buyout money because it will be more of the same with a new coach. go iu bb and Alford Bailey 2 Quote

Alford Bailey Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Insanity to pay Allen roughly $5 million a year. Who knows what IU will do but the next guy has to be head coach material. pumpfake 1 Quote

He went 5-7 his first year and 10-3 last year. If he has another double-digit win season this year, a Power Five school will scoop him up. DeBoer only lasted two years at Fresno before UW came calling. MemphisHoosier 1 Quote

IUFootballHappyHappyJoyJoy Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Guys, let's be realistic. We need to look at who wins the MAC Championship game this season and hire that dude. That's what Indiana will just end up doing anyway. Quote
TTT Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Just keep T.A. and let contract run its course. Unless a football miracle for remainder of contract… make sure T.A. is not extended if IU would happen to have a 6 and 6 season (win 2 or 3 games in a row…still looking for program stability) Regardless, the circumstances not to long ago IU had a nationally ranked team if decision making was based on identifying what it had in DeBoer, Womack…and Penix vs giving expensive long contract extension. kreigh8 Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Deion is probably too much football for IU and it's athletic department but that type of candidate should be considered. Someone like Reggie Wayne or Ed Reed to get kids excited to consider Bloomington Indiana and it's football program or whoever that may be. The hot coordinator or MAC level HC likely just has another coaching search in 3 to 4 years Quote

Well, sure but I don't think the biggest issue with your proposition is with IU or even money. I can't imagine any scenario where Meyer returns to a job the level of IU. Can't hurt to make the call though. go iu bb 1 Quote
