Lander was the only guard who could handle pressure tonight. That is how you beat IU.

Lots of pros and cons tonight but, at year-end  if we are a bubble team,  this was a W and this program needs to make the tourney this year.

Let's not forget that we have a lot of new pieces. It will take time to get everyone acclimated and into consistent roles. Tonight everyone kept fighting and pulled out the win. I'll take that and move on to the next one.

No, I’ll anoint them a tourney team because they have a really good coach, a really good PG, an alpha scorer, a bunch of tough, complimentary pieces, they hustle their ***** off and they play in a power conference. If you don’t think that’s a good team I don’t really know what to tell you.

X could handle it but was in foul trouble. I’m not too worried about IU handling pressure teams. Would have been nice if our 2nd half defense matched the intensity of the first half. They also seemed to get most of the second half loose and 50/50 balls.  

There was a lot to like. Many want to see more KL minutes but my pick is more Geronimo minutes as good things seem to happen when he is in.

For the first time in years....each time that SJU fought back. I felt comfortable that we "had control" more or less and wasn't worried that we would crumble. And that was really nice to have that feeling.
