Way, way, way back in the day, Valpo's Roger Harden played at Kentucky, which had switched to Nike. Harden's dad worked for Converse, so Eddie Sutton allowed Roger to keep wearing Converse. Let's bring the lad aboard and let him wear his Nikes -- LOL! Side note: How Harden was Mr. Basketball over Scott Skiles is beyond me -- and Valpo is 10 miles from where I grew up, so I saw Roger play many times. Popular Post Brass Cannon Posted April 12, 2021 Popular Post Posted April 12, 2021 I don’t see why people think he’s so committed to Auburn. He committed to them after committing to Alabama and they look to be the pretty rough next year HoosierTrav, ElectricBoogaloo, 8bucks and 9 others 12 Quote

So they waited 4 days to start his paperwork. That is why Lewis never got an offer, we already had who we wanted. So since folks were also saying Lewis was a possibility I wonder if it was an either or between him and Fife. Once we had Fife we had not more room. Quote

As a fan, it'd be great to have Fife and Lewis on staff, but Woody needs at least one guy he trusts and has a previous relationship with. cthomas Posted April 12, 2021 Posted April 12, 2021 I like that CMW said he's a hands-on coach and likes to be on the court. I think his assistants will probably share that approach. Sounds like a much more personal and less clinical style. NVFalcons1990, Class of '66 Old Fart, thebigweave and 3 others 6 Quote
