Goodman is such a knob by using the phrase "zeroed in on". It makes it sounds like he's our first choice and turned us down. Maybe we did put a call in who knows but Goodman is definitely trying to make us look worse by the way he phrased his tweet.

Perception is reality until shown otherwise. Dolson’s job is to manage both! If all of the rumors are just noise/smokescreen then part of his job is to manage perception and control some of the message...instead of letting Goodman do it!

There is no way we reached out to Holtmann. Could you imagine to arrogance of SD to do that? 

I feel like the media is just trying to make us look pathetic at this point. Feel like we're getting Ocean 11'd. Something strange is going on.

The media doesn't need to, IU has done that for the better part of 20 years and looks like there's no plan to get it right this time.

Definitely has the feel of Holtmann throwing his hat into the ring, maybe having minimal talks then saying "nah, I'm good"

The Holtmann rumor doesn't make sense to me. OSU is a good job in the same conference. Why would we think he would be interested when he's already got OSU in a great spot? OSU has plenty of money too. I have a hard time believing Dolson saw him as a realistic target

Even if it is false, I hate that stuff like this is getting out there. We're getting clowned beyond belief by other fanbases who are trying to paint a picture that no coach with half a brain will touch this job and none of the players want to be here either, and this only gives them more fuel.
