Many have commented that the SSAH experience needs to be spruced up. So, I offer you this ...

My 1st post here

Im trying not to get too excited over the possible BS hire. 

I got giddy over the possible BD hire and was disappointed. 

The difference in my mind is it appears SD is doing everything possible to get BS here and FG didn't swing for the fence with BD.

Well.. then we didn't recruit him early enough. I also don't think we had any room at that point. Obviously for a different thread and time though.

First off, I hope it's Brad. I really do. 
But, I just don't want there to be one of two things to happen...
1) We get Brad and expectations are through the roof from the start and fans start questioning his abilities. He wouldn't be coming into a perfect situation and would need some time to right the ship. His name's Brad, not God. 
2) We don't get him, get a really qualified coach still, and yet aren't 100% behind him as we feel there was a big letdown.

Regarding a potential Brad Stevens meeting at St Elmos, this reminds me of a similar story here in the Tampa Bay area about a year ago.  The Buccaneers were trying to woo Tom The Cheat Brady to their team so they had a meeting at Berns (Tampa's version of St Elmo's).  Brady met with Derek Jeter and Jeff Vinik, the owner of the Tampa Bay Lightning.  They sat in a private area and nobody knew about the meeting until Brady spilled the beans months later.

If nobody noticed Brady, Jeter and Vinik at a dinner, it is certainly possible that Stevens could have had a similar dinner in Indy.

It shouldnt, they are married but they are still two separate people.  It’s not like it’s a conflict of interest or anything. I see absolutely zero issues on this point.

Just reread the transcript of Dolson's presser, and this struck me (along with fitting in with what the insiders on here are saying)...

"This will be the last time you hear from me. I hope you respect that, until the process is complete, until the next time you see me, we’ll be naming a head coach. I just want to be certain you can appreciate the sensitivity of the process in going through that."

Shows me 2 things...he's not worried about trying to extend the notoriety through the media that comes from pursuits like this, and the silence and absence of leaks would make the Mossad proud...

I was also thinking that if you read through Dolson's comments, they fit Stevens to a T. The talk about hiring a CEO of the program, someone with his pulse on where the game is headed, etc. Stevens would check every description of what Dolson said he is looking for, in ways that some other candidates (Beard, for instance) would not.
