Oh really? Not too shabby for AF

We will see. I’m personally fine with it as I think XJ is a better creator

I’m glad CJ Gunn is still firm with his commitment, the kid has a lot of potential

Even if AF leaves, I’m guessing we should go after another guard or Big. Since I have no idea if Joey Brunk is returning this season

My bad I edited to XJ but you got me before then lol. I think XJ makes up for AF’s absence but we need another guy for sure

Losing our best 3 point shooter would not be ideal though. XJ is a great pickup, but he's not much help there.

That’s EXACTLY what it means.
I am longing for the days when a road team comes to Assembly Hall already expecting to lose.
I need to see other teams’ fans complaining about the ‘Hall of Calls’ because the refs are intimidated.
I want to see us run run run.
I want to see us foul hard and bring in fresh, tough bodies when we do.
I want to see a defensive feeding frenzy.
I want to see the other team’s coach T’d up out of pure frustration.
I want the bottom of the B1G to be steamrolled, and the top to be worried.
When we lose games, I never want us to be sad or level headed afterwards. I want us to be angry. Not just the fans—the players and the coaches. I want them to be completely pissed. I want our team to hate losing more than they love winning.
For other teams? “It’s not gon be sweet.”

I truly miss these days! Got me to thinking. When is the last time the opposing coach got a tech against us? I cannot think of 1 right off hand.

Franklin is clearly a worker and has proven willing to spend time on his own getting better.  That is the part we would miss the most. I also kind of wonder if he saw how the others came back about the same as they were and wondered if felt they had different willingness to do what it takes to get better.

We made a club change in soccer recently for that reason.  Loved the old team and the kids/parents but a few of the kids have college aspirations and put in a lot of individual training whereas others did not.  AF is probably weighing the talk about building that here vs provable results elsewhere.

Franklin averaged 11 ppg on a 12 win team. He was good not great. He can be replaced and IU is still talking to other capable guards that are interested. IU will be just fine.

I think Franklin would have been closer to 14-15 PPG if he hadn't been hurt most of the season. Also, considering the huge jump from year 1 to year 2, there's reason to believe he can make another leap. I agree that there are other guys we can get who will help, but I think losing Franklin would be a significant blow

+1

There is a reason that UVA and Illinois are recruiting him.

Agree. I also think that it will help him significantly by not being in Archie's inept offense.

Somebody has to score on a bad team. I agree he was good but if people take off the crimson colored glasses he's not irreplaceable. If you look at the transfer market rankings he's not thought of that highly in those either.
