And we will pass on will wade and beard to hire bb. It's like we try on purpose to make bad hires.

Just to make my stance clear, I do think Dolson has something up his sleeve.

I think there is almost no chance that it's Stevens, but I do think there is a good chance he's got something lined up that we're all going to be happy with.

I have hope that we're going to be looking at someone like Pearl, Otz, May, or someone in that range that's off our radar at the moment.

I'm not a "we're doomed, it's Brownell or a mid-major coach" guy.

With that said, i would still be somewhat excited if it was McCollum or someone like that.

I wasn't referring to you or really anyone else on this board. I was referring to some journalists and talking heads.

I also don't think it's Stevens. I didn't buy that talk even last time.

Here's a fun question for @Chris007.

Plugged the current odds into an AI model, and asked it to but together a betting framework that would be a good mix of safe and with a good payout. Here's what it gave me.

Final Recommendation
Place $50 on Brad Brownell (-200), $20 on Ben McCollum (+200), $15 on Greg McDermott (+500), and $15 on Dusty May (+1000). This strategy balances the safety of a favorite with the lucrative potential of underdogs, minimizing risk (max loss $100, often less) while maximizing outcome (up to $65 profit). If you have insights suggesting a specific underdog is undervalued, adjust accordingly—but based solely on these odds, this spread optimizes the dual goals.

Do you take those candidates or the field?

All good! I didn't think you were calling me out or referring to me, was just using your post as a jumping point to clarify where I stand.

Yeah I deposited $50 - what I planned on betting- so put $45 on a parlay of Creighton and Maryland- if i lose them both I'll go in change my account to bogus info and never go back to it.

Lol are you me? I deposited 100 fully intending it for a Stevens value bet and ended up spreading it around available games after only getting 5 on Stevens hahaha

That's big; shows how desirable this job is... Texas is one of the richest departments, in a high population state where people care more about football. Objectively, there's a lot that should make it a top job. But it's Indiana...

Which makes things really crazy if Dolson is actively going after Brownell.  Just doesn't make any sense. Or that could be a smokescreen and Dolson has had a whale on the line for a while.

I doubt anyone truly knows who Dolson is pursuing at this time, it is just speculation

Just seems strange for a guy who works in another athletic department spends so much time on a IU board. I also find it strange that an athletic office talks so much about other programs like he describes they do.

It seems strange to me for a guy who blames the fans to spend so much time on message boards talking to fans.

People do strange things. /shrug

And if you know it's not Stevens you should be willing to bet whoever.

I’ve not claimed to have any info or know it’s not Stevens.  Try again.

I’ve seen his postings and his tone is neutral and comes across as we don’t know anything but this is what we think as outsiders , but in the business. Believe he’s definitely not trolling. And one can be a fan of an another while working for someone else.

The peegs crew released an updated hot board. The big takeaway from that is that Clemson is working on an extension for Brownell. Sign that ****, Brad!

Looks like the Brad Brownell dream dies a quiet death...
