Well guess what? They didn't implode Beat MSU on the road, Smoked Purdue at home, and was a 35 foot heave away from a west coast sweep and another quad 1 road win. I know these are big IFs but if he wins 2 games in Indy this week and makes it passed the the first round of the NCAA tourney? 

the 3 days later Dolson is gonna trot out Brownell or McCollum depending on how Clemson or Drakes seasons ends? I think Scott Dolson is gonna be a VERY NERVOUS man for the next 365 days. 

Lots of "ifs" there. And I still give you that Woody: 

1.) Missed NCAA tournament last year. 

2.) Finished 9th place in the B1G with Top 10 NIL money from IU boosters (which I'm sure Dolson would happily remind the proper people of). Woodson was barely in the top 10 of the B1G.

3.) You're making a lot of future HUGE assumptions here. Winning 2 games in the B1G tournament and then winning 2 in the NCAA tournament. Remember, this is the same coach who couldn't make it past the Round of 32 with both TJD and JHS.

If it McCollum I’ll be interested to see when it’s announced. I suspect they’ll win a few games in the tourney.

An advantage of McCollum:

His relatively low salary would free up a couple extra million per year for player NIL.

We didn’t go from good news yesterday, to “today was a good day” post last night, to “planes meeting in Miami later today” this morning…..all the way to Brownell in that short of timespan.

Idk about that... I think entirely depends on match ups.

Just as easy for me to see them losing handily in R1 as making it to a S16.

Oh I absolutely would. Like it or not, we’re in the tournament 3 out of the past 4 years, with a second place B1G finish one of those years, after failing to make the tournament for 6 straight years. Not to mention that we’ve recruited a high level (on paper). It took Brownell 8 years to reach the tournament twice, and don’t tell me that Clemson didn’t have the resources over that span with 2 National Championships and CFP appearances.

Brownell’s success came after hiring Matt Bucklin, who he led def scouting. It’s aorth nothing that Bucklin’s scouting / recruiting included the likes of PJ Hall, Chase Hunter, and Ian Schieffelin while at Clemson -> who are the 3 players that have contributed to most of Brownell’s success (which really, is only recent success) in his entire tenure at Clemson. Matt Bucklin is now an assistant for Byington, and was with Byington at JMU when, you guessed it, Byington finally had a successful year and made the tournament.

Would love to see Brownell / Clemson after these players leave, and would love to see Byington / Vanderbilt without Matt Bucklin.

Brownell has had little career success at the power 4, and most of his success can be attributed to a single period of time with a single person changing on staff. Getting rid of Woodson for him is an absolute joke of an idea.

In reality, we still know so little about what's going on... Personally I don't know enough to be legit concerned (or excited) yet.
