Are we sure it wasn't to get background about Huss? Huss's resume is pretty fantastic. For two seasons at High Point he looks good and he did play for Dana Altman. Good high school coaching record too. Haven't watched much of High Point if at all.

What's the vibe there? Uspshoosier 1

And he's done it in the Big East instead of MVC. Dana Altman is a decent coach. He won less in the MVC than McDermott has in the Big East. Altman also built that program from the ground up. Altmans has only had one losing season at the P5 level—his first year at KSU in ‘91. When McDermont was asked to build a P5 school he put together 4 straight losing seasons and got fired. I’d argue at IU he’s taking over more of a rebuild than he is trying to continue and build off of an already successful program at Creighton. Also McDermont had his son to help kick start his Creighton run and he dipped down after Doug left before building it back up again. I probably like McD the best of the B-list candidates. But he’s definitely on the B-list. VFury, Sandman, thebigweave and 3 others 6

I know they won the Big South by 3 games. I’ve only watched 3 of their games this year. Looking forward to watching them in the conference tourney.

Popular Post iu eyedoc Posted March 5, 2025 Popular Post Posted March 5, 2025 Why are we debating McDermott and TJO when Brad Stevens has already agreed to be IU's next coach? Well, that is what has happened in my mind. Kentuckysucks, HoosierSadaseci, Hoosierfanyuh and 8 others 4 7

I actually have watched way more high point than most lol. One of my buddies went to college there. Huss is beloved there. They play very fun basketball especially on the offensive end. Having a top 25 offense at kenpom where most ppl would struggle to name a single player is extremely impressive. Keep in mind tubby smith was their coach before Huss and they were absolutely terrible with no fan support. Huss comes in and immediately wins back to back regular season titles. I know my buddy would be very sad to lose Huss. I doubt he’s being considered but he’s a good young coach on the rise cybergates, Stuhoo, tkbbn and 2 others 3 2
Gameface01 Posted March 5, 2025 Posted March 5, 2025 I don't know how to share it, but sporting news has an article titled indiana expected to interview big 12 former coach of the year. Inside several quotes from Bozich and great a hire it'd be and maybe his name is definitely involved. Can't remember exactly

I’d possibly be interested in Tucker coming back but same questions as MM Tucker was allegedly reaching out to other teams, over a month ago, because he didn’t think he was getting the minutes he deserved. IF TRUE, and I don’t have direct knowledge that it is, I would happily say good goodbye. He might turn out to be a good player somewhere else but no thanks. The reason it's so good is because it's based on unvarnished input from people that are actually in the real information loop. Odom is clearly a name that could be considered; "fairly unanimous pick for the top spot" is a very telling line. I brought up Alan Huss in this thread a ton of pages ago - I did so because he made sense, makes sense, and will continue to make sense. He's the living definition of 'lose the press release, find the right guy' potential if we hire someone that isn't a 60+ year old. The La Lumiere and Culver connections are intriguing. He could be great and is only 46. He could be worse than Archie. It just seems like a crap shoot on nearly all coaches outside of a very select few. SlammySammy and Stuhoo 2
