Popular Post woodenshoemanHoosierfan Posted February 21, 2025 Popular Post Posted February 21, 2025 I mean it isn’t that crazy if you are Dolson and worried about losing a shot at Stevens by hiring someone young that has a Crean level run and lasts 10 years. And then we never have a shot at Stevens once his kids are older. This is good fanfic and makes sense. If Stevens doesn't come this time(which i highly doubt he does), can we please put him ever coaching here to bed. BBTB Posted February 21, 2025 Posted February 21, 2025 Just did a little study on coaches who were at IU So TC was hired on 4/1/08 Then AM was hired on 3/25/17 Current coach on 3/28/21 I also checked all these coaches were hired during the NCAA tournament how be it toward the end but I found it interesting ,so we have to wait 4 more weeks then ? Why would he even do that? Nobody is even talking about Stevens coming to IU except for the IU fan bubble. This isn't even a blip on the Boston media radar. It's not a blip with the Celtics fan accounts on Twitter. It's not a blip on the NBA's media radar. IU media brings it up here and there, but mostly only to squash it. There was no reason for Stevens to put out a smokescreen. Boston media was not asking him about this. One could also start "when did they officially announce that coach was out, compared to when they were hired", if so, we'd be hiring one soon, right? I think we hear from March 9- March 19.... JMO. But was there a portal that opened before those hires? I haven’t checked, but I’d assume not.

I did a search the Transfer Portal was opened for the first time in 2018 according to google so only Woodson would have been able to use it .

The new NIL junk they hate - they wouldn't have to deal with. They come up with a list of who they want and hand it off to their negotiators. Apparently how Saban ran Alabama long before NIL :) Indiana should look at what ND is doing in this regard for football and copy it. Basically they have a recruiting guy/asst GM and then a GM for all the NiL and transfer market stuff. They hired a guy from the Detroit lions to run it like a pro shop. This should free up the coaches to coach more and recruit less. IU could reach out to Lawrence Frank or somebody and see who the hottest young talent scout is in the NBA. I do wonder if an IU/UNC/KU level school set that’s type of turnkey operation up, if you couldn’t get a Wright or Bennett type to come back. thebigweave, DSUMMITT, Home Jersey and 2 others 5

Last year, even though the BOT voted to keep Woodson for one more year, was there not anyway for Pam Whitten to step in and overturn that considering SD supposedly was wanting to move on Dusty?
