Yep. Because other than love for IU, the unfortunate truth is there’s very little reason to move on from UM, when you’re currently in 1st place with a solid recruiting class. The leverage Dusty has over Michigan, especially with Stevens statement to Goodman, is stronger than ever. Michigan will want to close ASAP and he has no reason - on paper - to hold out just to come back to his alma mater. Now… maybe being close to family changes the equation for him. But it’s not like Ann Arbor is in Far East Asia, lol.

No. His conduct on that night makes him unfit to be the coach of IU. The fiancee ultimately deciding not to cooperate with the investigation doesn't change that.

My point is, he's not some down on his luck guy who just needs a second chance. In fact, he suffered very little consequences given the gravity of his charges, and he was already given that second chance almost immediately.

Yea.  There is his contract, but he can use this to get more NIL commitments too.  If he can get the attention of the right boosters UM has a crapload of money to give him.  I don’t feel too good about prying him out of there to come fix our dumpster fire.

People said Brad Stevens was a done deal yesterday, Brad then told Goldman he wasn't a candidate late afternoon yesterday, and now no one knows what to think.

Dusty may just be that smart…he may have demanded the low buyout knowing that Woodson would be gone. He can either jump to IU if he wants to, or force Michigan to extend him after only one season for a lot more money! If he’s that smart we really have to try harder to get him!
