Hard to believe Scott Dolson tried to pry Holtmann off of OSU, a prominent member of Big Ten. I think there's a line that schools in the same conference just don't cross.

Indiana's leadership screwed the pooch with this program.  College coaches are informed through the grapevine and from reading the same stuff we do.  How do you think Sampson, Crean, and Miller talk about their time hear?  We already know what the media is saying about us.  

If we end up with an "Indiana guy" or some other WTF hire, that should tell you how this job is viewed.  It is criminal what has been done to ruin this brand since Knight was let go.

Well who cares about Miller ffs he’s the worst IU coach in a century and as a student at the time Sampson cheated yes it was a dumb rule and dumb to turn in but he clearly cheated when he was on probation so I don’t get why other coaches would listen to him anyway.

I have tried. No one wants to hear reality. Which I understand. Arkansas doesn't scream basketball, until you actually go there. I imagine it is how most people under 40 view our job.

The media a holes saying Texas and Marquette are better jobs than IU know what they are doing.  Quickest way to get clicks is say something about a edgy fan base.

In the last 21 years the same amount of final fours and the success was under Barnes who they fired. So again how is it a better job? When did they last win a tournament game?

It's not that crazy. They have a sheet ton of big bawling boosters. Great facilities. Huge name brand. They've recruited very well. Their home state if very fertile. Smart just didn't go far with his good classes. The only downside is that TX will always be a football first school.

And don't get me wrong, I went to IU  and love it, but Austin > Bloomington.

I appreciate your effort. Until you go to Arkansas and the campus, you don’t know what you don’t know.

I have seen the best of IU basketball and the worst of it and right now IU is no better job than UT.  I think it is time for this fan base to take their crimson colored glasses off and see the reality of this program.  We might not agree with the perception of this fan base but there is a lot of truth to it as well.  I have for years thought this fan base has been a big detriment to the overall health of the program.  Nobody wants to hear or see it but it is there.
