But if that happens within the next couple of days, here's what'll be next ... Drake AD (invoking his best Bo Schembechler) goes to McCollum and says, "Ben, we enjoyed your tenure here, but it's time for you to pack up and get out. I want Drake to be coached by a Drake man!" Top assistant then leads the Bulldogs on a magical run to the ... second round of the NCAA tourney! JPCIVOP 1

If he is interested in Iowa, it would make sense to leak that he is a top candidate at Indiana to push Iowa into making a move on McCollum. Not sure if that's the case, just saying that could be an explanation. Goodman puts out these types of statements every off-season that don't end up turning into anything. So we'll see. I'll take McCollum over Brownell everyday though. Home Jersey, 8bucks, JustWinBaby and 5 others 7 1

Anything else I’ve stated has been factual, as well. Lastly, anyone who gets pissed off on a Friday because of what someone posts on an IU basketball forum needs to examine their priorities. As would one that feels empowered by policing grammar on a sports message board. tkbbn, go iu bb, lillurk and 1 other 4

I'm a college bball journalist with a decent following...agents approach me to put out buzz about their coach, to get them a raise, extension, or for their desired school to feel pressure to make a move. HoosierBoiler Posted March 14 Posted March 14 This has been discussed I’m sure but if it’s gonna be a 3rd tier coach why not just Hire Alford? I’m sure he has great connections in Indiana high school coaching circles.I know he has been a pretty Average coach for the most part but I do think he could succeed at IU. I’m gonna get blasted I’m sure. I want to be clear he wouldn’t be my 1-3 choice. JustWinBaby, Hornsby, JPCIVOP and 4 others 6 1
Home Jersey Posted March 14 Posted March 14 At least if Dolson is caught with his pants down and richard in hand again, this time we'll probably end up with somebody who has been a college basketball head coach before and a HC more recently than 7 years before he was hired... Only way you can really outdo yourself on that front is hire Isiah/Wittman/Turgeon. MikeRoberts, go iu bb and SlammySammy 3
