Agreed.  While the whole Hanner Perea thing leaves a bad taste, that was a long time ago and no one can doubt his on court results.

Evidently that was an assistant coach and Drew and IE are on good terms

I just don’t buy the Drew talk. Yes, Big Ten money is different, but Baylor has great NIL and is a basketball school. He’s lived in Waco since 2003, has a brand new arena to play in as well. He hasn’t accepted any other job but would listen to Indiana because he grew up there? I don’t buy it.

Yes you can argue the Stevens talk is similar, however, Stevens isn’t a coach currently. Coaches don’t just quit coaching, he’ll be a coach again somewhere. He has the itch to coach again.

I've heard that there are some people in the athletic department that still don't like Drew because of that whole situation but I'm not sure if Dolson is one of them or not.

I heard every coaching search that alone eliminated drew. People called him slimy, etc. Interesting change on tune by some.

They don't like anyone that isn't pure as the driven snow. It's why we end up with s****y hires.

And explains when we did make the right hire, we sent him packing for making more phone calls.

So with Rabjohns saying he doesn’t have a clue what Dolson is thinking in this search, does that mean we can safely disregard his hot board and intel on this matter? I didn’t see a hot board post from anyone yesterday so maybe he didn’t put one out, but it seems like admitting you don’t know what the hiring party is thinking at all should exclude you from making much commentary on who they will pick lol

The football coaching search shows that you shouldn't put too much faith into Rabjohns' hot coaching board. Right before Cignetti was named as coach, Rabjohns and company moved him into the Other Names category.

11/28 - Moved to Other Names

11/29 - Moved to a primary target

11/30 - Named IU's coach

This makes it pretty clear they weren't getting much info about the football coaching search. It seems likely that would be true about the basketball search as well.

That was a bad stain. I believe in second chances, but I am concerned that it showed the true colors of his character.

It's not a bad stain, at all. It's words someone said 12 years ago.

....I don't remember what went down. What happened?
