It isn't a logical conclusion of moving down a list.  You could have 10 guys you have some interest in and send out a note to their agent and say, "Would your guy be interested?"

This could be guy 1, 5, 7, and 10 saying no.  And trusting agents is usually just them pumping their client anyways.  IUCrazy2 has no interest in the Indiana job.  I let Goodman know that.  Doesn't mean Indiana had interest in me.

At the end of the day, just get a competent guy and let our money do the recruiting for awhile.  Most of the guys we are fretting over aren't elite.

It is a logical inference, that doesn't mean it's 100% correct, but it is a logical leap if you're a reporter and you know the names you shared aren't interested.

That doesn't mean Goodman knows the exact list, it's almost a certainty that he doesn't.

Either way, I completely agree with you. Let's go hire ourselves a real college basketball coach that can develop a culture, has a history of winning, and with IU's resources go get this thing turned around!

Let that hot taek fly homie.

Guessing a McCollum take.  That seems to be the other hot name this weekend after sitting with people yesterday.

He’s a doofus, but he’s 100% correct here. Don’t overthink it and roll with Beard. I know there’s a lot of “we wouldn’t hire him before the DV incident so we definitely won’t now” but there’s a scenario where that isn’t the case. Maybe that was his rock bottom moment and he’s a changed man, idk. That’s what the interview process is for, but that’s a scenario where he could be a seen as a legitimate candidate now when he wasn’t before.

It’s not, though I would rule it out less than I might’ve earlier. Thamel has been the mouthpiece for the search and the criteria right away said high major experience.

Obviously McCollum could impress and change Dolson’s mind, but my guess isn’t this.

But Cindy Simon might threaten to cut off her money bag
