Lol no, actually the exact opposite has been argued by the pro-Cronin crowd for weeks. Complete fabrications to make their argument sound decent.

I even believed it for awhile. Then I looked into it and read articles of him talking about UCLA and it did not sound like somebody wanting to leave. He clearly loves living in LA, he just doesn't like the cross country away games. Which honestly sounds like a fair trade.

Kevin Keatts fired. It was an earned canning, but final four into the unemployment line is crazy.

I thought he was going to get fired last year. But they won the ACC tournament and got into the dance and made a run. He isn’t a good coach and he got an additional year bc of 1 run. He is the prime example of why I think k regular season success should be more important than NCAA success when hiring a new head coach.

So much of the tournament requires the bracket to break your way. I don't get too worked up over a lack of tourney success. Getting there every year like clockwork is more important.

All I am saying that those top power 4 coaches are more than likely not leaving their current job. I just think all of these rumors are going to get some of you upset because we probably are not going to get a top coach from a power conference.

Stevens very, very doubtful

May No

TJO doubtful

Drew doubtful

Wright No

Bennett No

Few very, very doubtful

After this who do you really think that a realistic candidate. Like I have said I would take my chances in McCollum over Beard

Your logic works pre conference realignment..

Two major power conferences now in the B1G and the SEC and TJO, Drew and Few aren’t in them. I could see any of those 3 wanting to move to a job in a conference that is going to dictate policies going forward rather than being along for the ride

Yes and no.

I get the idea that regular season is a long haul and shows sustained success.

However, in the regular season you can pad your record with cupcake games and when you play conference games you are playing against familiar teams, style of play, and coaching tendencies.

In the tournament, past the first round, there aren’t many cupcake and you usually are playing unfamiliar opponents, often with a 2 day turnaround between games.
