Popular Post Herotime Posted March 4 Popular Post Posted March 4 As a preacher I would love for our next coach to genuinely love Jesus in such a way that he does NOT have to preach sermons to his team or demand they go to church with him, but RATHER that they see he walks with integrity, class, and respect… that he treats everyone (from the 5star recruit to the water boy) with compassion and kindness. That he has a reputation for looking out for the good of others BUT also works hard and is willing to model self-sacrifice for the benefit of others. A saint once said, “Preach the word and when necessary use words.” It’s true we are hiring a coach, but there’s also more to life than basketball.
