Dusty seems/seemed like the perfect fit.  I thought for sure it would be him.

I could easily see it being Cronin.  If I had to bet, it would be on him.

I could somewhat see Drew or TJ.  Seem like longer shots.

Someone not coaching would make a Ton of sense if that is out there (Bennett, Stevens, ???)

Bennett would seem like a really odd choice. He seemed really disenchanted with coaching near the end and basically just gave up on it.

What kind of fire would he have left to start over?

I wouldn't want Bennett at all...

Bob Knight supported the Archie hire, even. He was very highly thought of by coaches and basketball folks around the country before being hired at Indiana. It wasn't like Glass just panicked out of anxiety and picked Archie Miller out of a hat. He sucked while he was here, but he was thought of as near of a can't miss as has been out there.

Yeah you can have a good hire based on the information available that doesn't work out because nothing is guaranteed. Archie fits that. He wasn't some flash in the pan at the time.

It seems like, thankfully, Hoosiers Connect has really taken over our NIL space. Does anyone know how much HH are even dealing with now that they got shut out of basketball? I'd prefer that to be zero and it kind of seems it's heading that way unless I'm missing something. Between HC and rev share those guys shouldn't be touching a cent of fan to player money.

I don’t know what they are post-bball blow-up.  Before that I heard over the first three years of NIL they had raised $1-2M, but I’m not sure.

And yea it’s great HC has taken over.  I know some folks who help with that and they’re great.

Archie personally had the intangibles on the court. He had the personality and charisma of a rabid raccoon in your trash can.

Coaching is like Teaching. It’s a skill that encompasses the entire human being. Hard to be a fantastic teacher if your personality sucks.

I hope we hire someone with basic interpersonal skills who’s also more exciting than a plain baked potato.

Yeah, I truly don't think the Archie hire was a miss at the time. He was the hottest name in coaching circles. He just didn't work out it happens.

Now....Mike Woodson was a terrible hire and Quinn Buckner sucks.

Tyler Harris is good people. Is Hartman still involved? It's hard to find their team anywhere.

He didn't specifically say Dolson but he said "I know the person making the decisions at Indiana. I speak, personally, to the very, very select few people who help make the engines go at Indiana. It isn't my opinion. It is a factual statement: Brad Stevens is not going to be the next coach at Indiana. If you think that or you heard that or holding onto it. You are Incorrect. You are being lied to."

That was the exact quote he said, plus a little more just saying the same thing a different way basically.

And the fact he is active on discord, x, etc is the reason I wouldn't tell him the truth either way before I'm ready for everyone to know it.

Yeah he was. However, that was not the big narrative surrounding him prior to being the Indiana coach. Again, he was highly lauded by just about everyone when he was hired.
