One observation I’ve made and it’s probably because of 4 years ago but when someone makes a Stevens is out post like Sam made earlier it believed a lot more than when RTZ makes a Stevens to IU post. RTZ has been right many more times than Sam in recent years. Sam had most of his info during the Crean years. 
 

Also on a side note my DM’s pick way up with the Stevens not coming than the Stevens is coming.

This is a Pat Kelsey/Mark Pope kind of hire than can work out.

OK - how didn't this get leaked? Maybe I should revisit my stance on conspiracy theories (no more then 2 people can keep a secret and then only if they aren't married):
Davis extension:
The agreement was reached in July, but the deal was signed in December, according to a copy of the contract obtained by WRAL on Tuesday.

Are any of these 'site owners' connected at all? The insiders on UNC 247 have said nothing about this on their sites and have been speculating on his firing since the second week of the season. Crazy.

Let’s just hope at the end of March we are all happy as clams with the new hire and can look back at February laughing about all the debates around Cronin/Beard, McCollum vs DeVries (lol) resting with ease knowing IU basketball is about to win big again.

Stevens stepping down as GM for the Celtics to take a made up role of GM of a college basketball program is way more insane then him returning to coach.  

The coach is the GM for all intents and purposes; the GM position is made up for somebody to do the busy work the coach doesn't want to do.

Yeah - nothing against Story personally, and not saying that Stevens will end up at IU, but ... it's been a while since Story seemed particularly in the loop.

You make a good point. And it was also being hid while people are calling for his job.

He would constantly delete his tweets too after everything he’d tweet about inevitably wouldn’t happen. Where did his alleged “insider” designation even come from?

I tried this the other day with comparing McCollum to some other candidate:

Other than "being really good in D2" name one category that McCollum is better than Devries from the following:

• P5 experience and wins
• D1 high school recruiting success
• D1 portal recruiting success
• Agent interaction
• Big alumni base, and big organization success
• Mentoring and mentored by top tier coaches
• Success of teams against top tier coaches
• Wins
• NCAA wins
• Developing players for the next level
• Playing or assisting at a D1 or P5 program
• Wins against ranked teams
• Winning with a new roster/roster turnover
• Modern offense

So I'm naming 15 categories. I'll readily concede that McCollum is better in one: D2 success. Devries is better in the other 14.

I want to be happy at the end of next March, whoever the hire may be will get my belief and support. Indiana is like 10 time defending off-season champs, I can live with average highlights in the off-season if we can take care of winning basketball games.
