Except people want their head coach to have a resume of a pastor. Anything less and they aren’t good enough.

That’s just so untrue. Most don’t want someone involved in crimes harming someone else. We had enough with drunk @$$ Kevin Wilson. Nobody expects a saint, people just want a decent person. If you can’t tell the difference, you’re just gaslighting

I was discussing Pitino and by proxy Wade in my own mine when I wrote that. I see Beard as a different issue.

Shooting guards? Not sure that’s allowed at IU.

I saw where Rabby said his agent begged Miami to give him a chance and even they said no thanks after doing their homework.

I was still kinda on board even though sleazy Louisville and Kentucky didn't even look at him. If cocaine U says no, it must be really bad

Also saw where there will be several recruits in attendance for IU vs Purdue game . Recruiting without having ANY idea who the coach will be ?  Doesn’t make sense …………….thanks that make you go Hmmmmmmmmmmmm lol I’m joking of course I have no idea how that stuff works maybe standard operating procedure.

I would love an answer to this if someone knows. Also entirely possible they just wanna watch IU-Purdue from awesome seats and don't care about the coaching situation since they are both relatively close by lol

Certainly.  The people a university chooses to coach and mentor 18-22 year olds don’t need to be saints, but they should at least be good role models.

But to say absolutely that fans want a saint is ridiculous

Go back and read the thread again. People want a saint. That’s my opinion from reading this thread. This isn’t putting down any person of faith, as I am a person of faith.

my opinion is we need the best basketball coach. I don’t need a morally superior person as that head coach. Look at Harbaugh and Ryan Day. Both great people but play in the grey and won it all. I’m fine with that level of dark arts. I’m not ok with what Beard did.

Mentoring is a bonus. The days of old are over. You get a player for a year at a time now with free agency in college sports. It’s about winning. It’s a true minor league now. Kids aren’t here to play school as a former Ohio State QB once said.

Earlier on the thread people tossed Pitino under the bus for his dinning exploits. And not wanting him for that. My response was quoted about a Pitino post. You’re hang up on me saying people want a saint seems to have struck a nerve, which is ridiculous.

Maybe Hulls is actually doing his job

Jordan Hulls is a keeper. May be the only keeper, but he’s a keeper.

Ya know—show the new guy the shortest route to the senior executive potty, help the Big Handsome pick his parking spot.
