4 of their last 6 are at home. They probably finish like 16-4. But he is a flavor of the month. Lol.

More like the flavor of the last 2-3 years. Usually a recipe with that kind of flavor stays on the menu for a long while.

If we as a fan base are treating Cronin like a non starter and ridiculous option I fear we have completely lost perspective. That guy is a winner. Not saying he’s my number one choice but the idea that hiring him would be some terrible mistake is just insane to me.

Yes, but Archie was short.   :)

Does anyone think it won't be Dusty?

7y-50m and incentives?

I think he has a signing bonus of 1.5 ish to repay if he leaves before April 1.That shouldn't hold us back. Buyout is low.

He's not everyone's #1 choice but probably in everyone's top 3. Then we can start the speculation about the roster.

I don’t. I think Michigan will get him locked up.

The one and only question is...Does Dusty want to coach IU!  If he does, UM won't be able to lock him up.

Why would Cronin even entertain leaving the Blue Blood UCLA for IU?  UCLA has a rich history of athletes and donors and their NIL potential is waiting to explode, with (in my opinion) larger potential than ours. Cronin being a Midwest guy is the only reason I can think of why he would even want to leave but even that is wishful thinking. He has never to my knowledge mentioned being enamored with the IU job like Pearl or Beard. He’s not a former IU or Indiana guy like Stevens, May, or Alford.

it would be very similar to Self leaving  Kansas for IU. I don’t see it even remotely happening.

He doesn’t strike me as an LA guy, and no one in LA cares about college basketball. UCLA averages 6400 fans in a 13k arena. With all the things to do in LA, it’s just not high on the priority list m. Idk what their NIL is like, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it wasn’t great either

Sure.

But Hiring someone that is proven great is not really an option unless by some miracle Stevens is a yes.

So hiring someone is more than an assessment of what they've done; it’s an assessment of what they could be. And some without an .800 win rate is fine;

Schertz is a far better, proven option now than he was a year ago, yet last year he was worshipped by the masses.

Anyone in their right mind would kill for Shaka, and he was crap at Texas. But he was very young and got better.

Cronin has shown us what he could be.  He could be solid, high floor.  Good for you though, lower expectations leads to less disappointment…

Unlike Red Indian...that flavor of the month SUCKS!

Unless Dusty doesn't let them lock him up. If IU is a dream job for him there's not much more they could offer financially compared to IU to make him turn it down. It all depends on him.

Assuming Brad's out, what's the ideal March run for Dusty at Michigan if we want to land him here? I'd think a final four might persuade him to stay. 2nd round upset loss?

Hopefully, it's a Roy Williams/UNC situation; even a run to the title game with Kansas didn't keep him from heading back to UNC.

I believe I’ve seen where he wants out of LA and the NIL isn’t where he would like it to be.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, Drew’s faith is a huge part of his life and he works for a Baptist school lol.

Direct quote to CBN: “Everything we do in the program is Christ-centered.”

I have no issue with people professing their faith, but I have serious doubts how he’d fit at a liberal institution or if he’d even be willing to go to one.

Cronin is picking up steam from legit media outlets. Several new articles out today. Obviously doesn’t happen til UCLA’s season is over.

I think it's picking up steam because some people in the LA sports media and a portion of UCLA fanbase want him out.  His negative comments about his team have rubbed some the wrong way.  I would be happy with Cronin, but there are others I would choose first.
