I find it odd the part about not being a candidate isn't in quotations as well. Also find it odd that that's the only part of the text Goodman shared. So we're to just take it on Goodman's word that Stevens specifically said he's not a candidate? thebigweave, Dave from Dayton, Artie86 and 4 others 6 1

I’ll admit, it’s pretty vague and interesting, compared to 2021 where he explicitly said it multiple times in front of media. HoosierInParadise and maxwell 2
HoosierInParadise Posted February 15 Posted February 15 If Stevens is for sure a no, then take that same money and go after the best sitting coaches you can. Who cares if they say no. IU needs to send a message that they aren't messing around and they are willing to pay top dollar for the best. Jay Wright, Bill Self, etc....Go get someone to inject this program with some life and energy. Some of the names that are being mentioned are so blah. We may end up with a blah level coach but make the best say no. thebigweave 1

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Bennett make it clear that he was retiring because he had no desire to play the NIL game? Mr. Hoosier Pride, RaceToTheTop, VFury and 1 other 4

HoosierInParadise Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Goodman is a Boston-based reporter that covered the Celtics for years and also has a direct line to the college basketball community. Goodman makes perfect sense for this. I thought about this and the smokescreen theory. If it is, in fact, a smokescreen, maybe Goodman was asked to put it out there in exchange for being the one that will be the first to be given the official news so he can break it first. Probably not, but it got me thinking.. Scotty R, JF87 and thebigweave 2 1
