Again, it's going to take a lot of money.  Money IU likely won't want to spend.  I believe his buyout drops considerably after next season.  He'll be fired after year 4.  All we can do is sit back and wait.

I believe you are right. I get the feeling IU does not want to buy out another coach this year. I've noticed that anyone who is speaking badly publically (Evans, Gregg Doyal) has gotten calls from IU. They want it toned down this year and will fire him next season when the buyout is much cheaper.

So Woodson has every reason to spend every single NIL and University dollar within his disposal to create a dynamic squad next year

The bo talk is nonsense. Archie had a massive bo also. The bo is not all paid in one year and donors will step in if they want him out bad enough. The bo talk has always been highly overdone.

Heck of a way to run a program. Please keep quiet former players we will fire him we just wait to wait for one more disaster of a season. Sounds like the mafia keep quiet or else.

"We know he sucks, just keep quiet so we don't have to admit he sucks".

Sorry, firing an alum can be messy no matter how long they want to drag their feet. Maybe they shouldn't have hired someone that no one else was looking at.

It's what we do here...we always hold onto coaches too long.  Davis should've been canned in 2001.  Crean after year 3. Archie after year 2.  Woody right after this season.  But at IU we don't learn from our mistakes we just keep repeating them over and over.

That's why you don't hire former players with no college experience. Can you imagine Brian Evans getting a phone call hey we know you think Woodson sucks but just keep it to yourself. I would tell them to take a hike if I was him.

Even I wouldn't have gotten rid of Crean after year 3, considering the (stupidly self imposed) nuking of the program. When he managed to miss the NIT with 2 burger boys? See ya.

Although, yes we tend to give coaches enough time to put C4 to whatever foundation the program had instead of moving on when they should.

Might be my imagination, but I've noticed an uptick in pro-Woodson talk from new accounts on some iu sites I frequent.

I do think the athletic department is going all out on positive PR for Woodson.

I would said you hired a guy with no college experience, that hadn't been a head coach in 10 years and no one was looking at for HC, simply because he played here almost 50 years ago. And asked if they want my opinion of them.
