I don’t see it , Iowa is likely already limited financially and they can easily pivot to McCollum . They would likely tell him hey we understand best of luck . They know they can’t compete with IU they would call his bluff .

I’ve also said McDermott, McCollum, DeVries, Collins, McCasland, Willams would all kill it and DeVries just happens to be next up.  I’m just a mailman that wants a college basketball coach leading the program and all of these choices can do that

I stated my desire for Devries before Woodson even "retired" and we had an opening. 

Caught a decent amount of WVU games this year because I thought he'd be a candidate.

Solid yes for me.

I could be wrong...feels like with Devries it's the same level of smoke now just like the day before Cignetti was hired. 

I probably favor McCollum but Devries would be a nice hire. He rebuilt WVU in a year. They should have made the tournament. Had some nice wins. Mostly without his son.

Yup, neither Iowa nor WVU have the financial means or NIL potential to compete with IU if Dolson decides he’s the guy. He’d have to take a lesser deal to go elsewhere.

Best player was out and in a better conference. He actually turned Drake around before

What if McCollum turned us down?  He was choosy when he left D2 for Drake. By all accounts he was approached many times before going to Drake. Just looking at another perspective.
