I confess that I need someone to explain the idea of Cody as a GM. I can’t think of another instance where a prominent coach had a hand picked GM who had as prominent a profile as Zeller would. I could see Zeller as an assistant coach and/or recruiting director. But I’m missing the link as GM. I’m not dismissing it, I just have not seen or have missed the contentions of why this would be viable.

I mean, Steph Curry just became an assistant GM for Davidson (whatever that title/role means, Idk).  Not saying I buy the Zeller/Stevens combo, but there is that.

I don't have a clue who the next coach is going to be, but in contrast to many posts, I don't see anything out of the ordinary with how this is playing out. Regardless of whether or not IU "already has their man", nothing is likely to be announced until after the team's season is over. That nothing substantial or verifiable has been linked to a finalized deal, also doesn't surprise me. Nor do I think that the timing of any forthcoming announcement reflects their current employment status. If IU doesn't make the tournament, (in my opinion they aren't good enough and therefore shouldn't), I suspect things will move pretty fast. If instead they do make the tournament, I wouldn't expect an announcement until the week after their season concludes. Everything else I've read here about flight details, real estate ventures, family members, athletic insiders, fortune tellers, barometric pressure patterns, and the number of consonants in various acronyms that match Brad Stevens' mother's maiden name is a bit much.

Well, now that it's only an hour drive to Ohio or Illinois to buy legal smoke, I would imagine that Bloomington is pretty smoky.
