Let’s face it, Trilly has had zero “intel” on this coaching search aside from what others have reported. His “list” is basically just Rabjohns’ hot board.

Rabjohns himself admitted that he sometimes puts messages out there from certain individuals as a favor. And we know from Goodman’s track record that he’s tweeted several times and been wrong about  coaching candidates. Bozich gets things right more often than not but he’s prone to jump the gun on info.

I am not saying everyone else is wrong and I am right. I’m just saying people know far less than they think they know. This is the most tight-lipped coaching search I’ve ever been around. And I still think we ultimately end up with a guy that is currently on nobody’s radar. I won’t venture a guess who that is because I legitimately do not know, but that’s what my gut is telling me based on what I’ve heard.

If Brownell would really be the hire, after Woody. Well, all I can say is that he'd better win. 

Otherwise, there will be a portion of the fanbase that is going to be calling out Dolson, rather than just the coach, next time. 

Two bad hires in a row isn't going to sit well with the fanbase, regardless of how Cignetti does.

Of all the names mentioned ole-what’s-eez-name would be the most deflating and depressing hire of them all based on people's comments. I mean dolson just wow is all I can say. Almost like iu goes out of its way to make head scratching hires

You literally have said nothing other than a vague IU is following a process. The one time you put out anything specific about the process, little more than a week went by before you were proven wrong.

Let me try to Kathy: IU is in the midst of the process of identifying their next head coach. It is going exactly as planned and they will announce it when they determine the time is right.

Not what I said, implied or suggested. We aren’t talking directly with active coaches yet. To their representatives either directly or through an intermediary? Yes. There’s a distinction in there. No need for me to try and explain it further.

That thought literally just popped into my head . Ummm you’re saying since early Feb we have not directly spoken to a single coach it’s been all 3rd party ?  
 

No way these guys aren’t with their teams / coaches 24 hours a day 7 days to week to the point to where they can’t take a phone call with a guy who might want to potential pay them millions of dollars more than what they are currently making .

He did extremely well.  But he did get to the final 4 twice and the championship game once.  Didn't come home with a banner.  Having those 4 and 5 * horses is extremely helpful.
