McCollum is not the clear favorite to land the job at this juncture. Other coaches (mostly from the Big 12 it seems) are in play.

Unconfirmed if Stevens is in play or not. Seems there are still some who are saying it’s Stevens, but nothing confirmed.

Brownell, Collins, and McDermott are not serious candidates at this time.

I'm curious where this was from.

Pete Thamel has been on College Gameday 2x saying he talked to Dolson and here’s what he’s looking for. The first time, it was someone with high major HC experience who’d won tournament games etc.

The second time — last weekend, can’t find video — it was a few minor things but “someone who will attack the portal, not run from it.”

This is a great watch I would have no problem with McCollum being the coach. I love watching a team that plays hard and plays as a team. To many times this year we had too many players forcing things. I am worried about the portal opening and our next coach still playing. We are probably going to have a lot of spots to fill.

But mccollum is in bag even though he is still coaching. Lol.

I already explained how things transpired. It was and still is how it happened, in spite of some of the fiction that you might have read or heard. Be patient on the search. Choosing my words carefully but we have some good things going on.
