Jerome can make a big shot for you and get hot, as can Kopp. Kopp however isn’t going to chuck a bad shot just because IMO, it's a little worrisome that if that is true, Kopp taking good shots still shot a lower percentage than Hunter. If Hunter starts taking better shots, his ceiling is much higher. Not saying I wouldn't want Kopp, but I would hope it wouldn't be for anything more than some shooting off the bench when he spells someone. go iu bb, T White and BGVille Hoosierfan 3 Quote

I'm not a psychic; I don't know definitively if they will be good. Got some talent on the team with Kessler, Flanagan, Thor, Smith. Another top 100 guard in 2021 class too. Pearl is a good coach, I'd be surprised by two subpar seasons in a row. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

I’m thinking Kopps percentages dipped from trying to have to be one of the two main scorers. If he comes to IU I could see his going way up because he will get more open shots when defenses dive in on TJD or help on X driving. min some ways I know this contradicts my first argument about Kopp being ore in control, but I don’t think he got the open looks because of a lack of options at Northwestern. I think if he comes to IU he’s a 4-6 shot a night guy whose going to avg 8-10 on high percentages Quote
cthomas Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 This sets up perfectly for CMW. Our young talent from last year is a year older and will undoubtedly benefit from a change in philosophy and staff. Get a couple of pieces from the portal to fill the holes and we are automatically better than last year. It may take a bit to get off the ground, but this team should get better and better as the year goes on. NVFalcons1990 and darB s'tI 2 Quote

This is what I'm counting on to happen. If we can actually see this happen, we'll be in good hands with Woody running the show. That's okay, but I don't see that much else in his game. He doesn't rebound well, he's not a great defender, he's not going to create much for himself. He's a decent player for a lower division Big Ten team but I don't see him being a major cog on an team hoping to be an upper division. Indiana did catch fire with Nick Zeisloft and he ended up being a really, really good shooter for IU but he still was more of a bench player coming in to shoot; that's the maximum role I would see for Kopp. If he were to come in and the get the minutes at IU that he got at Northwestern, it would be because players we have who I think should be playing ahead of him weren't panning out. Let me put it this way: statistically, was his best year any better than Al Durham's year last year? Quote

He certainly would add depth. I just don't see him as being a stretch four unless we were really having to defend a really small lineup. T White 1 Quote
