Stewart used one of those 2 open scholarships from last season. So there was 1 left unused. Durham gone and Brunk's doesn't count (assuming he stays). 3 open scholarships.

It's 2 total. 4 if Armaan and Race don't return. You also brought in Duncomb. I posted the grid on the last page.

Xavier Johnson, AF, and Brooks would be systematically ideal. I am torn on Race, I love him as a Hoosier, but think his roll would be diminished if he returns.

The more IU players in the transfer portal return next season, the less likely we will land transfers from outside the program. If Race and Armaan return, we might get one transfer. If everyone comes back plus Joey and Logan, it will be tough to get playing time. Most transfers want to go where they will get maximum playing time.

As of now this has broke perfect for IU. Al Durham, love him as a guy, but had peaked at mediocre. TJD, nothing need be said. KL and JG are huge upside guys coming back. AF is a plus return if it happens. Race,by eligibility and ability, next to Durham, is the least impactful. Replace Durham with X Johnson and get Armaan back  and the portal period will have been a plus for IU. Add Brooks for Race and...oh my.

Agree. Woodys NY team played as a model for how he could excel here but that is a maybe whereas Baylor just showed what they can do with creative guards

I didn’t notice until last night that their 3 starting guards avg basically 16 ppg and all shoot 40% or better from 3. Another off the bench avg 10 ppg and shoots over 40% from 3. Which was Flagler. The Mayer kid which is 6’9 and listed as a guard avgs 8 ppg and also shoots 40%. Sheesh!
