Listening to a podcast on my drive home from work and found it interesting what they are saying about NIL and Michigan. Seems like from a profit sharing perspective Michigan basketball is getting between 4.5-5 mil. Then other NIL deals ontop of it. They also have a GM for both basketball and football that have similar philosophies similar to NFL front offices. Where they set a cap on what they will spend on each position. Where each position is ranked in terms of importance to how Dusty wants to play. And then they don’t go over the self imposed cap for that position type. 
 

Dusty also wanted to keep Tre Donaldson but Trey wanted to be the sole PG. Dusty wanted him to play some backup PG and then maybe start as the  SG.

Not surprised by Michigans approach. I think everyone is heading that direction eventually. Also not surprised on Donaldson. I stated several times I didn’t love him as their PG and apparently Dusty felt the same.

Haha. I met him one time at the Addidas classic in Bloomington. I was officiating and he was coaching his son’s Carmel AAU team. He introduced himself as Steve Risley member of the 81 National Championship team. Then he wanted every call the rest of the game. So yeah he probably heard more than that was said.

Could be, or they took Lowe in anticipation of losing Lewis. I believe UNC was a finalist for Lewis and with Cadeau leaving maybe that’s his move. Was always surprised that Kenya never tried to get in there, Lewis is a hell of a player.

It’s not about the ones you miss it’s about the ones you get.   Won’t be the first time opponents took options from IU and won’t be the last.  Half the people won’t even remember who IU missed on 3 months from now
