Hoosierfan2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Maybe Glass just really loves plane rides and felt like taking one this week. Moving the game to Atlanta gave him the excuse he needed. thebigweave 1 Quote

VO5 Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 I've been extremely negative lately (especially against Glass) and sorry if this has been brought up already, but does anyone think Glass is attending these games as a farewell to Crean? Almost like a send off and thanks for what he has done. Trying to root for any positive at this point ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

Popular Post doyle1984 Posted March 15, 2017 Popular Post Posted March 15, 2017 Could also be like when a divorced couple meets at a game to exchange the kid. The one parent (Glass) brings the kid (Crean) and at the end of the game leaves with the other parent (Missouri AD)Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Trish, Hoosierfan2017, A.j. HoosierSadaseci Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Maybe Glass is there because of the decision not to play at home, he wanted to show the team he is supporting them. Quote
TheWatShot Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Glass had better be there. As silly as it was to move the game, it would be an even bigger d*ck move on his part to stay away from it. Tom White, Feathery and Hoosierfan2017 3 Quote
8bucks Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Glass being there doesn't mean anything other than the fact that he is the AD and this is his program.Sent from my SM-G935P using BtownBanners mobile appI tend to agree since it is a tourney game. He is not going to make a coaching change today. Quote

Popular Post Maynard Posted March 15, 2017 Popular Post Posted March 15, 2017 I've been thinking a lot about the divide in the fan base between those who say that they will be done with IU basketball and those who say they will continue to watch and support regardless of who the coach and players are. Here is my take. 1. When RMK left I realized that I was an IU fan, but I was really a basketball fan first. The game means more to me than who is playing it. I would never be a fan (wear the gear, talk about them as my team, cheer with exuberance) for a different team; I don't jump on bandwagons, but I will root for schools that play styles I enjoy. I will also turn IU off because their style makes me sick. 2. Though I don't think that it is necessary, I would rather lose playing like Northwestern or Virginia than win playing like Indiana. Not having big time recruits doesn't bother me. Lack of execution and general basketball silliness does. 3. College basketball was a lot more fun when the majority of guys stuck around for their four years. I really believe that the late 80's through the late 90's were the golden days of college ball. The highest caliber athletes being trained for the longest period of time to work together as a team. Most kids dream of National Championships and then NBA glory, not going to college as a one year audition for a shoe contract. If Indiana retains Crean. I will quit watching. I will hope that they lose to the extent that it takes to replace him. Maybe that makes me a bad fan, but I firmly believe that there is something right in the world when the best of amateur basketball is being played in Bloomington. bizzle44, HoosierTrav, HooHarp and 7 others 10 Quote
IUrocker Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Ha, it's kind of neat that Wichita State and Dayton play each other in the first round of the NCAA tournament in Indy. Maybe it'll be loser of the game is announced head coach of IU and we will know who we have as soon as the first round is over! (Im kidding, but wow that's crazy that those two got matched up together...and in Indy). Quote
