As far as Fred Glass is concerned, I was told that Crean's agent pushed really hard for an extension after last season. Glass said no, and angered Crean. So much speculation now, and no endorsement from Glass. I think an extension after this horrible season is inconceivable to me.

I read that article earlier. Seems the writer hasn't watched an IU game all year or ever. Terrible article.

Who is this "elite coach" that we have and what did Tom Crean do with him?

Opposing coaches wouldn't be sending thank you notes to the administration for firing Crean, unless they hired Alford.

"Sure, Indiana had Final Four aspirations this year and will almost certainly miss the NCAA tournament instead ....."

Say no more sir .....

" We probably wouldn’t even hear the whispers if Indiana had beaten Syracuse in the 2013 Sweet 16. Those Hoosiers were good enough to win the national title, and were clearly more talented than Syracuse...."

Is this guy for or against Crean?  I'm confused .... he is stating OBVIOUS reasons why we're all done with him ... but then basically says it's not Tom's fault .... this guy is ridiculous ....

He read Tom Crean's book:  1 million and 1 excuses, telling people the problems under your watch aren't your fault

I'd be very surprised if Iowa isn't super-focused and takes care of IU on Thursday with a possible tournament bid on the line.

Well if our worst fears come true and we still have no news from the IU camp after our season is officially over, I say every single one of us buys a copy of this book and we all proceed to send them to Glass on a weekly basis.

Sadly, I think our present coach is already using it and is stuck in about chapter three.

I was going to say the same thing.  A Des Moines friend of mine said that their fan base is charged up and hopeful that they can handle an Indiana team that, while winning at Ohio State, is still struggling and flat.  And, Indiana plays horribly in this tournament and it's been in our backyard since it's inception.  Having it in DC means even less fan support... I see a slim chance of IU winning this game, and it could accelerate an announcement, especially if IU does in fact skip the NIT.

Lol. 2 wins might be enough.

What a joke.

It's why I hate conference tournaments man. These tournaments award mediocrity. The regular season conference champion should be the automatic bid. That team would've obviously proved they belong because they were the best team in the conference. Take last night for example. The Horizon League Tournament Championship had 11-23 Wisconsin-Milwaukee. That would've been an absolute travesty had they won. Conference tournaments need to burn

Yesterday I'm in my office really getting deep into some btownbanners on my phone.  My maintenance guy walks in to discuss his progress on some jobs.  I don't even make eye contact with him as my eyes are glued to the screen.  He says, "you don't even give a **** do you?"  Rather than reply, I hit the refresh button and he showed himself out.

I really hope you are just kidding.

Yeah.  I'd go just to put a cap on this season.  It's still hard for me to make sense of this season.  I was so convinced we would be a monster team this year.  How long until we have a mix like this of NBA talent, size, and shooting?  What the heck even happened?

Yogi left. JBJ came back. Crean stayed. Simple.
