What stats and facts have you brought? I can bring you 9 years of stats for Crean at IU. All the stats say is he cant win a national title. Thats what we want, to win a title. He has pissed himself when he had the talent. He then had off court issues and has now missed the dance twice in 4 years. He runs players off and has brought in an extra class compared to his big ten counterparts. Even with the extra class worth of players we sit at the bottom of the Big Ten. 

I get you are sticking up for your relative, but if you think Crean is a national title capable coach, you are delusional. Go look up defensive efficiencies of all past champions. Then look at Crean during his time here. Then look at the constant turnover issues his teams have had year after year. See, his issues are the same no matter who is on the court, year after year. The man is a mediocre basketball coach, supported by other mediocre basketball coaches. 

Hell, Bo Ryan coined the phrase Tommy Naismith bc Creans ego is so big he thinks he invented basketball. He is stubborn and not willing to be challenged by his own staff. So he hires mediocre yes men as assistants. Indiana prep coaches have closed the recruiting pipeline. Not only is it in the best interest of Indiana for Crean to leave, its also in Tom Creans best interest to leave mutually. If he stays he will be fired in a year.

On another site someone posted league W-L totals for the last 4 seasons.  IU is 8th.  Eighth!  Last night on the broadcast they listed our league final position for each of the last several (6?) seasons, and it averaged somewhere around 7th.  Unless that is considered successful (even tolerable) out West, I'd say it's obvious a change is needed.

Imagine blaming this season on injuries.

You have a pre season all American center playing the 2 spot now. You've ran the same weave and heave offense since 11'. We've continued to turn the ball over time and time again each game. Our defense is not fundamentally sound at all. We don't run sets for our best shooter.

I could easily find a better coach in Bloomington.

Have followed for a long time but just read and hardly ever post. I've been looking for anything about CTC on any Missouri boards I could find. This was an interesting read...any of you follow any other boards with any similar discussions?

You want coherent, logical arguments? How about turning the ball over in right at 20% of our possessions in Crean's tenure? 1 in 5 possessions are just handed back to the other team. Only one year in 9 have we had a top 30 defense under Crean. You aren't winning a title without that. Or we have had 3 players since 2010 stay 4 years? Is that coherent enough for you? That is why there is no semblance of continuity.

You mean like before the B1G season started this year? And then they lost to Nebraska, and everyone knew by then the same deficiencies of a Crean coached team were still there, given loses to Butler and IPFW as well. I don't really get how anyone still comes out to defend Crean anymore

Not sure the reason, but Hickory Hoosier says Donovan is a definite no go.  Bummer.
