TOM CREAN FIRED

How can there still be people who have faith in him? Christ almighty

I don't have faith in him but just because people don't have the same viewpoint as doesn't mean they will get this when they come here. I often ask myself how people can spew the same rhetorical hatred towards the man but it still happens.

my take:

I try to always reset and give him another chance. But year after year and game and game we see the same frustrating trends. It's much easier to understand the perpetually frustrated than the ones who think he is a good coach and cast blame on the players, weather, Dakich, the refs, or virtually anyone else besides the person in charge.

I still have some faith in him just because he brought us to a 1 seed a few years ago, and you gotta admit that those were good times. But I'm still not convinced that he can't attain that this year. We could have a revolution starting on the duke game and get back in the top 10 after a few big ten wins and no losses, which seems unlikely but possible

Also, i think it is hatred for a select few and extreme frustration for the vast majority. The repeating trends and problems makes it so much worse. If it were different teams, different problems, the pro-Crean anti-players argument might hold more water.

That's understandable but hearing the same thing over and over from the same few people gets really old and other posters/mods get really tired of seeing it. I can't tell you how many times I've seen people post Izzo endorsed Crean so he'd have an easy win or I have UK fans that feel sorry for us. I don't nor do I believe others want to read the same post day after day because some can't come up with anything else.

Don't get me wrong I've never liked Crean and I'd still fire the guy even if he won a NC this season.

That's hilarious

what was hilarious was you liking your own post a few posts ago lol. 1 seed isn't terribly hard to accomplish finishing as one is which we missed by a long shot. Keep the faith for this year I am to but I am at a 1 out of a 100 that it will happen

The problem is that Glass doesn't have the huevos to fire Crean. If the big money boosters and the trustees don't get involved, we're stuck until 2020.

Who's to say Glass doesn't extend him again?

Edit: I know not likely.. But Glass hasn't wavered in his support for Crean either.

All the Fred Glass talk, that's just extrapolated from a couple comments of support right? Is there anything of substance showing he will never fire Crean?

Yeah, keep wondering that myself. Glass is going to publicly support CTC right up to the point that he publicly doesn't(fired or asked to resign). Think we had the discussion last spring about even if he thinks its time for CTC to go, the real possibility exists that he sticks with CTC as a matter of timing and availability of the right replacement. Otherwise than the large extension with the large buyout, I've never figured out what the big beef with Glass is. I think many of the calls for Glass's head are just results of the fire CTC crowd who haven't seen it happen as quick as they want it too.
