Normally I wouldn’t care who wins the ISU-KS game but pulling for Iowa State today because….. A win will keep Iowa State ranked Iowa hopefully beats Iowa State and Iowa will then be ranked. IU’s win at Iowa (hopefully) will look that much better.4 points -

Yep we will look for reasons to love our bball program. It’s a very toxic relationship in a lot of ways. lol. That being said I know I have always had the negative tag attached to me. But from my point of view this is the first hire serious about winning since Knight. Sampson would count but because his past he was always going to get run out of town at the first sign of scandal it was always a gamble2 points -

Good stuff. Overall, our fans want to love the bball program and will do their best to — in my view they only flip when things are obviously going very bad. The fishbowl narrative is nonsense. I like the fit with CDD here and I think he will get a fair shot to succeed. Fingers crossed we got our guy for the long run.2 points -
So the word is that the SEC is going to 9 conference games plus require a P4 OOC contest. If that’s the case I am sure the Big Ten will match the P4 out of conference game requirement. I’ll bet Scott D wishes he didn’t give UVA $500,000 to get out of that series as UVA would have been a perfect way to meet the requirement (the downside is that the scintillating Kennesaw State rematch would not have been scheduled). If we have another great year, which I am expecting, it will be interesting to see if a UVA-type team will even want to play us as I’m sure that, when the deal was originally signed, UVA assumed they had a good chance of beating us. In any case getting both conference on 9 conf games+1 P4 schedules will be a good thing for CFB.2 points

He can be a fantastic stretch four on offense with proper spacing and scheme; it will help if he's not relied upon to handle the ball or pass much. And on defense he can easily guard other fours. But they better have some active rebounding from their guards because he is pretty glued to the floor and doesn't have much burst to the ball..1 point -

He can be so good. I saw that potential immediately. The mentals also hurt him when we were struggling as a team which affected him adversely. Reneau and Mgbako are gonna have really good years this year. And maybe Myles Rice too. Putting a speed guard who isn't a great shooter in a system with 3 bigs was wild. So, my guess is Rice does well this year too.1 point -

This will connect a few controversial/polarizing topics - Mgbako & Woodson. I like to check in on how former IUBB players are doing and thought this was interesting from the 3 Man Weave's evaluation of Texas A&M: I feel like there's at least a few kids who garnered a lot of hate from certain fans last year, and I'm really curious to see how they'll perform under different coaches.1 point -

Deion gets a tough rap from fans, but he’s a-okay by me: ————————————- "No slides. If I see you with them - I'm gonna send people to campus - if I see you with slides on campus, it's gonna be a problem," Sanders told his players. "If I see you with a hoodie on in class, or some headphones on in class, it's gonna be a problem. If I see you sitting in the back of the classroom, it's gonna be a problem. Do we understand that?" Sanders is also implementing strict rules for Colorado players enrolled in online courses. "If you're online, and you have online classes, and you don't have a shirt on or you got a wife beater on, or you've got something stupid on that's causing a distraction, or you're walking about during an online session, it's gonna be a problem," Sanders said.1 point -

Fife on Woodson
IUCrazy2 reacted to Hoosierfan2017 for a topic
Maybe he’s a nice guy in his personal life (as long as you’re completely subservient to him), but the Mike Woodson we had the displeasure of experiencing the past four years is a petty, lazy, insecure narcissist.1 point -
I mean, is he really? Don't know him personally and I'm not saying he is a bad guy, but does a good guy surround himself with yes men and fire those that dare disagree? Does a good guy mock a large portion of the fan base? Does a good guy doing a half assed job proclaim himself "King of Indiana?" Does a good guy collect million yet refuse to go out and do his job on the recruiting trail? From afar he looks more like an entitled lazy @$$ with a fragile ego, not a horrible human, but far from a good guy.1 point

I just got a call from my son. My 16 year old grandson was injured in football practice on Wednesday. They just got the report from the MRI and CT scan. It's not good, and I'd appreciate your prayers. He has: Complete ACL tear Complete MPFL tear (ligament that connects the patella to the femur) Partial MCL tear Lateral miniscus tear Gastrocnemius tear (calf muscle tear) Tibia fracture Femur fracture thru growth plate, which is still open The doctor is very concerned about blood clots and compartment syndrome, and we are waiting to hear what the next step is. No doubt, it will involve some serious surgery, and a long, brutal recovery.0 points
