J34 Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 This will be the type of talent moving forward, if they don't play the NIL game. Quote

When a fanbase can’t even spin a pickup the coach is struggling. We let go of a local legend for not being on board with NIL for a reason. Painter needs to get with it. As far as Purdue fans are concerned, Braden Smith is going to end up giving the Big Ten fits. Quote

Is it clear that Painter's not on board with it? Purdue just might not be able to compete/raise the NIL $ that other Power 5 schools are able to. Quote

Our success over the years, and recognition as basketball royalty, gives the depth to compete in that arena. Hovadipo 1 Quote

I guess unless they had to use their funds to keep their front court but if so Painter is dumb. Gotta have your guards before anybody. If we didn’t have a group of guards in place for next year I am sure Woodson would be all over that Quote
lillurk Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 As an undersized non-pg, Utah to B1G, Jenkins Jr. bears some superficial resemblance to Alonso Plummer. But Plummer got to play next to, arguably, the second-best guard in the conference, in Trent Frazier, and Jenkins…doesn’t get that luxury. (Not to mention Demo’s less-than-ringing endorsement.) Quote
Hovadipo Posted June 17, 2022 Posted June 17, 2022 Bob McKillop with a surprise retirement press conference. Brutal timing for Davidson unless they hire an assistant, which I'm assuming they will, and even then not great. lillurk 1 Quote

go iu bb Posted June 18, 2022 Posted June 18, 2022 I was checking out the recruiting competition for Newell and noticed something odd Illinois has 9 PF on their roster? That can't be right. lillurk 1 Quote

As in over $25K per quarter (NW is quarterly not semesters) My daughter got a full ride at Vanderbilt, so much better off. Not that this is any kind of newsflash, but if there's a scholarship or even just a good but significantly less expensive school out there, your niece would do well to focus on the ultimate cost of college now thebigweave 1 Quote

I think reality will hit her soon. My wife was talking to her about IU then talking to her about IUPUI. I assume I missed the part where she offered to let her live with us for a year or two before transferring down to Bloomington. My niece who just graduated is going to Loyola and doesn’t even know what she wants to study. It’s mind boggling to me. I think she is not thinking it through. Her older sister got a full ride to Michigan then Stanford for PhD. And her brother is going to school my brother in law works at. So none of her sibling could really advise her on student Loans. And you know 18 year olds. No reason to listen to the old people in the room. J34 and HoosierHoopster 2 Quote

The campus is on Lake Michigan. They are in Chicago which offers all kinds of great amenities--1st class museums, great music, parks, restaurants. I've known people who have gone to Loyola and loved it. The only downside imo is Chicago winters--they can be brutal. Quote
