I was actually going to consider the 4 hour drive, but for those prices no. Went last year to the Baylor game in Indy and had a good time. Paid too much for those tickets too.

I like this a lot.  I think Mizzou will be good this year. Tons of talent on that team.  It’s a good test and a nice game.

There it is. The team I follow and my backup team playing in Bloomington which I haven’t gotten back to in 15 years in what should be a genuinely interesting game. I’ll be there.

Unlikely that there's IUFB overlap, but that's going to be played during the Friday night game of CFP round 1.

So, if I have this right, at this moment we have a total of 6 non-conference regular season games scheduled.

E Illinois 11/2, Bellarmine 11/5 & Missori 12/18 are the only 3 currently scheduled in Assembly Hall.

Syracuse 11/9 @ Gainbridge, Arkanses 11/17 @ MSG & Kentucky 11/20 @ Lucas Oil are the other 3.

With the 10 B10 home games (Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Rutgers, UCLA, USC, Maryland, Northwestern & Purdue) that makes a total of 13 games currently scheduled in the Hall.

Historically our season ticket package cost has been spread over a total of 19 home games. I am starting to wonder if that will continue with scheduling of another 6 home games yet to be announced or if our number of home games will dip below 19 for the first time in modern history. I guess that it's still early so not inconceivable that 6 more home games will be added but at this point would we probably just be adding more buy games?

I understand the feelings about not having more marquee home games but apparently games played on the road at venues such as MSG, i.e., neutral sites, whatever money we get paid to play is 100% ours and does not have to be shared with the B1G conference as it would be if the game were played at SSAH.  So in today's world of revenue sharing, that's a pretty significant factor.

This is one tough-@$$ non-con schedule. With 78 teams in the tournament this year, we’ll get in with 18 total wins for sure.

That is true and I understand it - I just don't have to like it as a long time season ticket holder. That said, I will continue to buy season tickets and will make the short tek to Bloomington for some good pre-game eats/beverages and priceless time with good friends.

That’s an odd quirk to rev sharing. You would almost think it would be the other way around.  
 

While I feel for our season ticket holding friends here, I have to say I strongly prefer these more marquee matchups at neutral sites versus crappy buy-games at home. IU fans generally travel pretty well and the team gets good support at these things.

I think the schedule is great!   No big complaints. Just worried we won’t perform like we need to.   Some fun games to look forward to.  Arkansas will give us athletic tests and some fun players to see. Mizzou as well.  3-1 would be perfect!

Agreed. I am much less in tune with NET and WAB as some here. But from what I gathered last year, Quad 1 games are gold and Quad 4 games where we can win by a considerable amount help the most. I would hope 3 of these big games turn into Quad 1. Maybe add 1 more then feast on low tier D1. I know some dont like that last part, but it seems like its statistically the best way to boost record.

No Chicago States, Western Illinoises or North Alabamas, please.

I wish the powers that be would change this.  A big part of what makes college sports so fun is the on campus atmosphere at all the unique college venues across the country.

Pro sports arenas and stadiums are dull with a few exceptions.

They should have a decent noncon SOS with the four power conference games, but unfortunately bellarmine and eastern Illinois are quite bad and will likely be 300+ on kenpom. No reason to be playing those games
