In under six minutes he manages to take a giant sh.t on everyone and everything. It is a little scary and a lot hilarious. This transcript are his opening comments and it stays like this the whole dang time! A must see—trust me. He’s fun at a party though…. :) Rico and OliviaPope40 2 Quote

str8baller Posted February 1 Posted February 1 There’s probably a dozen things that can be said about this game, but one of the big ones on the morning after is that it feels like this is the first time since probably the Nebraska game where we have some breathing room. We’ve got our West coast split had have a clear path to .500 in the conference with just home games where we’ll be the favorite. Win on the road at usc or osu and we only give ourselves more cushion or better seeding. This will end up a pretty big win for us hopefully come tourney time. That’s the feel of the press conference I'm so glad that we didn't pursue or get Cronin as our coach. He has a good career record, but every interview/quote that I see from him is negative. Too many Archie vibes. Coaches need to be critical of their team's play, but presentation in public is important. Save the vitriol for practice. Jeff Flabjohns, Pagoda and DChoosier 3 Quote

68Hoosier Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Big Road win. I hope this team is starting to gel and maybe peak at the right time. Quote

The only thing I can think of is how did the other teams we played fair yesterday. Like if a few of our bad losses or good wins had a bad loss it drags you down. Dave from Dayton 1 Quote

I could be wrong about that because I am not a subscriber, but that would be about the only way to explain the post-game movement in this case. Quote

BA47591 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 It wasn't pretty, but that team had more talent than us at home with a 14 game winning streak on their floor and we out toughed'm. We let a late lead get away but I like to call these moments "Ali/Frazier in Manila moments". We got off the stool in the end when they couldn't. Tucker doesn't have the athleticism to be a star in this league, but he's morphed his game into a dirty work, do a little bit of everything kinda player and it's working for us. Side note: Xavier Booker is one instate kid I'm glad we didn't get. Bailey looked Zach Randolph against him last night. PS. We had the better coach and assistant (Rod Clark). Rod was in Lamars ear the entire second half. raorIU 1 Quote
Hoosierfan2017 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Helluva win last night. The team needs to figure out wtf it’s doing against the press, but they could’ve easily folded after regulation but didn’t. Dorn’s emergence really transforms the team. There’s a clear path to the tournament for the guys now. Just gotta stack one game on top of the next and keep it moving. I’m working from memory but I think both of our Oef and Def went up after last nights game. The jostling in the rankings is likely just statistical background noise and the result of us being nearly identical to the teams around us in the rankings. Stuhoo 1 Quote

I prefer Torvik I know we had at least a stint at 22 and 24 yesterday but are currently 23 str8baller 1 Quote

This was in one of my other “dozen thoughts.” Him shifting over to some hybrid point-forward/stretch 4 role has been just as important to our run here as has inserting Dorn into the lineup. We needed tougher interior defense and rebounding and he’s clearly dedicated his energy to that. It’s actually a pretty impressive transformation. I hope it sticks. The fact that defenses still have to hug him tight on offense makes him still key on that end even though he’s not taking as many shots. Jeff Flabjohns 1 Quote

One thing I’m confident about with this team: They have the intestinal fortitude to have a terrible loss (and yes, that will happen) and get their heads straight very quickly afterwards. No Archie ‘stay sad’ long losing streak mindset with a CDD squad. Hoosierfan2017 1 Quote
Popular Post Stuhoo Posted February 1 Popular Post Posted February 1 Tucker Devries is 6’7” with below average length and bounce. The last three games his rebounding totals have been: Rutger—10 Puredoo—10 UCLA—10 That’s some serious effort and grit. raorIU, str8baller, Hoosier987 and 8 others 11 Quote

You know he’s probably frustrated not scoring the way he historically scores (he’s the active leading scorer in all division 1), but he’s finding massive ways to contribute that are leading to wins. He deserves credit. hoosierdogg, hoosierfan6157, Jeff Flabjohns and 1 other 4 Quote

I didn’t think we stood a chance of winning, but we did. Resilience is the word that comes to my mind in describing last nights win. Stuhoo 1 Quote
Hoosier987 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Did anyone see Cronin’s post game press conference? Little man syndrome. Further, Didn’t even give one iota of credit to Indiana. Quote
