Iufan71 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Big IU fan here in central KY........been trying to find watch party close to me. But closest I have found so far is across the river in Jeffersonville at Hoopsters or something like that. Not much fun going to a bar near me (Lexington) and watching the game with a bunch of UK fans. Just seeing if anyone else had any suggestions, thanks and Go Hoosiers. My prediction on game is IU 34..Miami 17 Napleshoosier 1 Quote
Golfman25 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 We actually have a small group of IU people in our area. Met one guy who drives around in an IU Jeep who graduated a year before us, and whose kids went to high school with ours. Another friend put four kids thru IU, so they are fans. We usually hit a local bar to watch. Problem is they are closed on Mondays. So we are trying a mexican joint across the street. Napleshoosier 1 Quote
Dave from Dayton Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Just letting Old Fart know that I've moved. No forwarding address...if you come knocking...ignore those people...it's a private estate sale...Dave's not here. Class of '66 Old Fart, Napleshoosier and OliviaPope40 1 2 Quote
AKHoosier Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I'm up here in Domer land, might get talked into watching at Bar Louie or something. I'd rather just watch it at home though. It would be nice to watch with a bunch of IU fans though, that aspect is fun. Tons of IU fans up here, and all the ND people I know are rooting hard for us. Popular Post Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 17 Popular Post Posted January 17 I'm going to watch from the comfort of my easy chair so after the game and we are the undefeated national champions I can bawl my eyes out in joy and happiness and only my wife will know. Brass Cannon Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Some friends hosted a sudden party for the rose bowl and the game went so well we got together for the Oregon game. After that score was 35-7 we decided we had no choice but to get together again because of the good juju LockdownD, Napleshoosier, Rico and 1 other 4 Quote
Pudman Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I live in Bloomington and have been hosting 20+ person watch parties and they’ve been awesome! I have avoided the bars because I am admin at IU and don’t want to get mixed in with the students. For the natty though, my good friend owns the Friendly Beasts cidery in town. There are no TVs, but he got a projector and giant screen for the game. So, we are moving the party there! If you are ever in Bloomington check out Friendly Beasts! BH33 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I’m in SEC country, so will be watching in my living room this time about 45 minutes NW of Ole Miss (we live just south of Memphis). Kahlil Benson is from the next town over from where we live. Napleshoosier and skhoosier2 2 Quote
Demo Posted January 17 Posted January 17 In St Louis was planning on absolutely watching it alone, and then this came out of nowhere: got a text from 1 of my oldest friends who lives in Hagerstown, IN, which is basically Richmond. He says he’s gonna drive over Monday and watch it with me. So he’s gonna drive like 10 hrs round trip to watch it on my TV instead of his TV. Seems a little nuts, but this is what IUFB has done to otherwise sane people. Class of '66 Old Fart, HoosierDribbler, OliviaPope40 and 4 others 7 Quote
BtownStrength Posted January 17 Posted January 17 On my couch, same spot as I watched the Big Ten Championship, Rose Bowl, and Peach Bowl. Wearing the exact same outfit as I did during the Big Ten Championship, Rose Bowl, and Peach Bowl. Drinking the exact same beer out of the exact same glass as I did during the Big Ten Championship, Rose Bowl, and Peach Bowl. rcbowla, Hollywood Mike Miranda, johnsoniu and 4 others 7 Quote
IU5355 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 At home. Like every game this year. I am incapable of watching a game in public. Too much stress and yelling at the TV. BtownStrength, OliviaPope40, Stuhoo and 4 others 7 Quote
Popular Post TrueHoosier62 Posted January 17 Popular Post Posted January 17 I'll be watching the game from my living room here in Minnesota. Surprising how many comments I'm getting from complete strangers to my IU gear. Not a negative one in the bunch. One fella at Costco even looked at my IU sweatshirt at Christmas and said, "Great team, ah one, ah two, you know what to do"! So with that intro I proceeded to sing our fight song amongst the bakery items. Got some curious smiles and even some clapping. AZ Hoosier, ronzo4IU, Crimson and Cream and 8 others 11 Quote
rcbowla Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Like many others, I can only watch alone. I'm not capable of socializing during the game. Also like others, I'll be watching from same seat, wearing same socks (IU argyle crew, hideous to the non-IU knower but beautiful to me), and drinking from same cup. LFG! Yeah, kind of works both ways for me. I get too excited and risk getting tossed. On the other hand, late in the game when we are up multiple scores, and I am on the edge of my seat, the bartender will come over and "Hey, don't be so nervous, they go this." :) Napleshoosier and BtownStrength 2 Quote
OliviaPope40 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Watching from the basement as I pace up and down the stairs as Fernando reckless tries to run the ball without managing to get hurt. Yeah someone might want to check my blood pressure. Quote

Iufan71 Posted January 19 Author Posted January 19 (edited) Thanks for all the replys.....as Olivia said.....I get nervous when Mendoza takes off and runs it too.....save that for your little brother when the game is well out of hand..like maybe 40-17 with 2 mins to go and we just have to run the clock and IU wins the Natty!....also I assume a Parade could happen in Btown if we win....I would assume Wed at the earliest with so many people out of town in Miami? ...I would definately make the 3-hour trip from central KY to celebrate that!
