I don't want to pile on no matter how disrespectful his behavior was after the ceremony. He made some bad choices that he will have to live with. He obviously didn't have the kind of support system that Fernando had growing up. Hopefully he learns from this and becomes a better person. Pavia is very talented and has had a great season. From what I have seen from his mom, I'm not surprised that he acted the way he did. Maybe this will be an opportunity to learn and grow. I am so happy that Fernando is representing IU.

I'm generally very understanding when a young college student makes an impulsive statement.  However, what makes the Pavia situation so much different than days past . . . he is making tons of money to play college football.  Not saying the players shouldn't be paid; of course, they should since universities make a fortune off their sport.  However, if college athletes expect to get paid they must realize they are now being held to a higher standard; including the manner in which they represent their universities.  So glad Fernando represents IU with dignity and class.  Everyone, including Pavia, deserves a second chance but that doesn't mean he should be exempt from consequence and my guess is his consequence will show up on draft day.
