Class of '66 Old Fart Posted November 21, 2025 Author Posted November 21, 2025 The way the stat site was so messed up earlier I can't be positive it's 100% correct. mamasa 1 Quote
str8baller Posted November 21, 2025 Posted November 21, 2025 Good news is I think coach was reading the message board and Alexis should start with Bailey/Sisley coming off the bench. Josh 1 Quote
HoosierDevils Posted November 21, 2025 Posted November 21, 2025 This week was really deflating. Two cupcakes and didn’t look great. Given what we’ve seen before this week I’m hopeful that it’s been a bad case of playing down to competition and perhaps practices being more intense than they would ahead of K State, L’ville, KY, and the conference schedule. LamarCheeks Posted November 21, 2025 Posted November 21, 2025 They lost to Saint Louis by 43. They lost to us by 20. When you break it down scientifically, that would make the Billikens a 23-point favorite over us. Quote

JimmerNoe Posted November 21, 2025 Posted November 21, 2025 We are a team that is going to need 2/3 of energy, execution, and 3pt shooting every single night if we are going to win games against teams with talent. We have now seen two straight where we lack all three against bums and got tested into the second half. I am trying not to be too pessimistic this early in the season but this effort against a bottom half Big Ten team is going to be a loss every single time. HoosierDevils 1 Quote

There likely will be a game or two this season when shots are not falling and we just can’t really compete athletically. Wish it was in the past, but don’t think it is. We will definitely have some incredibly exciting moments but also some really deflating ones. pumpfake 1 Quote

rcbowla Posted November 21, 2025 Posted November 21, 2025 Is this team closer to the 1st 3 games or last 2? Because they aren't the same. RoadRage, Hardwood83, Pagoda and 3 others 4 2 Quote
str8baller Posted November 21, 2025 Posted November 21, 2025 All things considered, there is a solution to the Bailey problem. A bigger issue is that there’s no solution to the Conerway problem. He’s not a B1G level athlete. He’s tough and smart and I think he can defend well enough based on those qualities. But offensively he adds very little. Unfortunately neither does Enright. Dorn coming back adds some versatility. Maybe Ristic or Drake will as well. We don’t need anyone to take the spot so much as give coach some options versus some of these teams. Disappointed in Wilkerson too. Fumbling the ball and forcing shots. Other than Alexis and Devries 2nd half they just sleep - walked through 2 games they shoulda won by 40+. Amazing what a difference between the exhibitions and first 3 games and the last 2. I disagree..he will be a good one as time goes on. Lots of tools in his bag. Home Jersey 1 Quote
DChoosier Posted November 21, 2025 Posted November 21, 2025 Welp, In the next three weeks we play Kansas State, Louisville, UK and 2 of the possibly worst teams in the Big Ten. Going to be interesting (I hope) to watch. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote
Hoosier987 Posted November 21, 2025 Posted November 21, 2025 This team isn’t talented enough to go through the motions. They need to play hard. Hopefully these last 2 games teach them this….after all, our team is made up of low/mid majors minus DeVries prior to this year. All around disappointing. No reason not to beat Lindenwood by 35 + points HoosierDevils, WayneFleekHoosier, RoadRage and 1 other 4 Quote

I know it shouldn’t be, but it might be innately hard to get up for teams that they also haven’t heard of who are actually not a bad team. Quote
