Brass Cannon Posted November 17 Posted November 17 We only fell 4 spots in overall Kenpom. I believe our defense over performed expectation. But not sure Hoosierfanyuh, HoosierHoopster and thebigweave 3 Quote

FortWayneHoosier Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Anyone notice Coach Devries when handed the stat sheet for his post game interview, he crushed it up in frustration? 8bucks, thebigweave, Dhop and 4 others 7 Quote

Seems odd to me that we play “big” with Alexis by pairing him with Sisley and moving Tucker to the 3 and we play “small” with Bailey. I would think it would work better with the roles reversed. The one thing we haven’t seen is our biggest lineup of Bailey and Alexis playing together. Home Jersey 1 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Big learning lesson. Wilkerson and Tucker will bounce back. Probably, but better teams will scout us and play us tougher. Run Wilkerson and DeVries off the 3 point line and then let the others do what they do. Ugh, that game brought me back to earth. We’ve got enough defensive liability, offense will need to be clicking. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app Home Jersey 1 Quote

Home Jersey Posted November 17 Posted November 17 At one point Enright had the ball at the three point line and his defender was "guarding" him below the foul line extended. Conerway and Enright not being legitimate 3 point threats concerns me if IC could identify that in the scout and what that means come B10 season. Maybe I am overreacting. But I hope we can figure something out. DChoosier 1 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted November 17 Posted November 17 With Harris hurt, it's hard to play our only two bigs together.Feel like it’s our best lineup. Although Sisley is playing tough right now too. I think Enright limits our ceiling but I also see why he plays. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

rcbowla Posted November 17 Posted November 17 I think everyone needs to calm down for now. It was one stinker offensively. Guys weren't hitting shots and UIW made some big buckets in 2nd half. Overall I can let this one go. If we struggle with Lindenwood then feel free to freak out. BGleas, pumpfake, pappy1865 and 1 other 4 Quote

We’ve got enough defensive liability, offense will need to be clicking. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners mobile app Wilkerson and Devries are seniors with career 3pt percentages approaching .400. I’m pretty sure teams know to run them off the 3pt line. Tonight they were missing wide open shots and FTs. Live by the 3, die by the 3. Being a heavy three point shooting team introduces more variance than playing through the post like Woody (although his teams inability to guard the 3 kinda reintroduced variance in a strictly negative sense). We’ll have more games like tonight and more games like Marquette where we run decent P5 teams straight out of the gym. Fans are just going to have to get used to it. 1 minute ago, RaceToTheTop said: With Harris hurt, it's hard to play our only two bigs together. Hard but could be done situationally. I thought we might see it versus Marquette but between the foul trouble and blowout it didn’t happen. BGleas, go iu bb, Home Jersey and 1 other 4 Quote
